We're considering having Lowe's install vinyl flooring for us. They quoted us 1.99 per square foot. Has anyone had this done? Do they find a lot of ways to add extra labor expenses etc? What kind of prep should we do? Thanks, Paul

Answer (1 of 11): Lowe's doesn't employ installers in my area. They sub contract it out and mark it up. Contact a reputable installer directly you will get a better contractor at a better price. Don't pay more to someone because they make a phone call. I would rather pay the local guy more.
