Is worth it? And how’s the pay?
The pay is at least $15/hour—some areas have higher pay than others based on cost of living, competitiveness etc. For the most accurate rate you're better off asking the store itself, as even two stores nearby each other may not pay the same! [Sidenote: I looked at your other post—a lot of the roles are called Expert. HR Expert. Fulfilment Expert. Inbound Expert. They just wanted it to sound frilly and important I suppose] More on reddit.com

do you guys think the pay you get or the starting pay at target is justifiable?
I've worked for target for 3 years and make $15.30. My job has gotten harder every year, more has been expected of me, and my pay has gone up $.30. So no. My starting pay was justified, sure, $15/hour is tolerable in my area if you live with a bunch of roommates, never have an emergency, and don't have any car payments. Every time I had to start doing more work, my pay should have increased by the amount they saved by having fewer people do the same work. Half as many people getting the same work done should be paid double. More realistically for my situation, 9 people doing the work of what used to be 11 or 12 should be making about 25% more. Instead it's been stagnant. More on reddit.com

I know how it feels in the moment but you have to understand you're always making minimum wage at Target. Those "raises" they do every year are always going to be below average inflation and always below what they eventually need to re-raise their minimum to in order to recruit new workers to replace their employee churn rate. They will never willingly pay you above minimum they think you deserve. They will never pay you what your worth. Even if you become a TL, ETL, whatever. More on reddit.com

r/Target on Reddit: Is worth it? And how’s the pay?
October 16, 2022 - You also don't get to keep your rasie if they decide to increase everyones pay to above what you are making. For example, if you get raises from 15 to 17 and they raise the base pay at your store to 18, that's how much you'll make. Not 20. You could work there for 10 years and end up making the same as someone who just started yesterday. ... I made it through three (four?) review periods during my time at Target and every year they purposely gave us our annual review a week or two before corporate raised the wages, so that none of us ever got an actual raise compared to any random person they dragged in through the doors.
