Yes. There is a fem-lightning to fem-lightning (or fem-USB-C with new packages) adapter that comes with the pencil. One end (there is a small grey circle on that side) is a bit longer to completely cover the Pencil's connector while other end accepts the cable. Not as convenient, sure, but it is possible.

It is super easy. You take the cap off and can either plug it directly into the bottom of your iPad (charging port) or use the adapter that came with the pencil. With the adapter, you plug the pencil into one side and your phone charger into the other, then plug the phone charger into an outlet. There are lots of explanations and even YouTube videos online--just search "charging apple pencil."

It depends. If it have a lighting male head at the end, it’s a first gen Apple Pencil, and you can charge it by plugging it on an iPad with a lighting port. Now if it does not have any kind of port, and it’s not round all the way, it’s an Apple Pencil gen 2, and the only way to charge it, is by putting in the side of and iPad Pro 2018 or later, iPad mini 6 or iPad Air 4 or later.
