We planned an ikea kitchen with an ikea kitchen person and purchased it in 2023 at our local ikea store. We have a farm style sink, Havsen, next to a lazy susan, this was part of the plan. The problem is when you open the lazy susan door it hits the havsen sink because the sink sticks out a bit, by design. I think there really should have been a small spacer between the sink and the lazy susan to allow the door to open enough to access the lazy the Susan.
IKEA has offered to change our sink but the cabinet and countertops are already cut and installed.
The ikea store display shows the exact same layout though and their lazy susan door opens a lot more than ours. So why is that?
If you look at the pictures, in store display, the top hinge of the lazy susan has partially pulled out of the cabinet on the ikea display! I mean it’s basically broken. This is allows the door to move more away from the sink so the hinge can then turn more giving better access to the lazy susan. When closed the door does not line up nicely.
The green cabinets are ours, the black is the IKEA display at the Montreal store. I’ve included a picture showing the front, top screw of the top hinge pulling out of the cabinet so that the door opens more.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so what have you done to fix it? Many thanks

we never plan those doors to hinge the side of the sink in my country. with the hinge the other side it's able to clear the haven sinks as long as the first door is fully hinged back before the second door opens but honestly we avoid the havsen sinks in corners as much as possible, especially when the access is so limited with the oven the other side

I used to work in IKEA kitchen planning. It was a rule for us to never put HAVSEN next to this corner cabinet. The door will never open properly and it will damage your sink over time HAVSEN also shouldn't be last in a line and shouldn't have filler pieces next to it. It is an error made in planning.

January 8, 2022Sektion corner base cabinet. Order sheet has only one set of hinges listed, they are the ones shown, 153°. YouTube tells me I need another set for the other part of the door. Which ones? Google isn’t any help either; neither is the IKEA website. TIA
The missing hinges are part number 110682 and they came in the box with the corner cabinet frame. You can find this information in the instruction manual for the frame and a PDF copy can be downloaded by searching 702.655.01. Page 5 shows the hinges in the parts list and page 30 shows how to install them. More on reddit.com

Looks like the Corner base cabinet with only the shelves are last chance to buy currently. Anyone know if they'll be replaced sooner rather than later? I really do not want to do a lazy susan in my reno

The new corner blind cabinet is 50" vs 47". The new product is listed online, but not available for purchase yet, i.e. in stock (as of last week). I will need at least one 47" cabinet and pullout for my design, which I haven't finalized. So went ahead and bought 2 47" blind corner cabinet (have a G shaped layout, so 2 blind corner cabinets needed). I was able to order the cabinets online and had shipped to my house (about week ago). I was not able to order the white 47" pullout or schedule for pickup at my local IKEA due to limited stock. I was able to call IKEA customer service and explore all options if getting the item. My local store only had 7 pull outs in stock (which is why I couldn't not place pickup order online). The rep was able to place an in store pick up for me. I also ordered the new pullout for the new 50" blind corner cabinet to compare. Online the dimensions for the pullouts (47" & 50") appear to be the same. However they connect to the cabinet frame differently, are different shapes, and colors (47" compatible is white, 50" compatible is black). Also, noticed the new 50" blind takes a 24" x 30"h door or top 10" drawer + 20" h door. The 47" base cabinet takes a 21" x 30" door only, no standard option to configure a 21" drawer without hacking.

I think there is a new design - that lazy Suzanne is AMAZING for the price. Buy it now! Whatever appears after this will likely be… ahem.. different.

It turns as well as pulls out of the cabinet, so you really can get to all the stuff in the back without too much trouble. It seems quite sturdy - I am keeping cans of soup on it, although I confess I "baby" it a bit and keep most of the heavy stuff near the pole, and hang onto it when I am pulling it all the way out. If I am being honest, my old lazy susan felt sturdier but that is because it was fixed.
