Does anyone know if the "dark gray stain" is the same as the old Hemnes "gray-brown"? I purchased a gray-brown tall 5-drawer dresser YEARS ago, but wasn't able to complete my suite because that color was discontinued shortly after. Today, while browsing furniture online, I found that the color has returned! It looks to be the same color, but didn't know if anyone knew for sure. (I don't live near an Ikea, so can't lay eyes on it to compare the two.) More on reddit.com

I'm planning to put together a gray-stained Hemnes bedroom. I already have a gray Hemnes desk, which I bought before it was discontinued--it's still in the box, so I have until June to return it.
I notice that a lot of Hemnes items are listed as "last chance," and a lot of the items that aren't "last chance" are sold out. I don't understand all the conflicting information about the dresser fiasco. I'm willing to pick up a few more items early if I have to, but I don't want to order everything until I'm ready for a full truck, which won't be until later this year. I'd also prefer not to be stuck with half-opening drawers, but that's a lesser concern.
Can I count on the gray-stained Hemnes set being generally available for the rest of 2024?
