Best Magic Keyboard Compatible Case
Hey, yes, there are more than just the two cases you mentioned. Magez Case 2 by Pitaka SwitchEasy CoverBuddy MOFT Snap Case Satechi Case Spigen Thin Fit Pro STM Dux Shell Magic Folio (best for protection) Halflyer Case MagEasy CitiCover I have published article about these cases, you can see the pictures, prices, compatibility and features of these cases at Wolfoftablet website. Check Here. These are the best options to choose from. They all have the same function, but some do have an apple pencil holder, and some don't. (I personally prefer the ones without the holder) They come in different colors, and they are made from different materials. If you are looking for an iPad Pro case that works with Magic Keyboard, make sure that it has the smart connectors and that 3 sides of the iPad are covered, otherwise it won't work with Magic Keyboard, or you just won't be able to close it while the case is on. There are some other brands on Amazon and other e-commerce sites claiming that they work with Magic Keyboard, but they don't, so make sure they have smart connectors otherwise your keyboard won't work when you are using the case in tandem with the Magic Keyboard. I bought the MagEz case 2, works great. I have it in black and white(they had a discount on that deal), and I also recommend getting an iPad magnetic stand with it. It costs about $50, but it's worth it since the case has magnets at the back. Perfect when you want to play some games or watch a movie on an iPad. More on reddit.com

Magic Keyboard + Case/Cover with iPad Pro? | MacRumors Forums
Is it possible to put a slim case around the iPad Pro to protect the edges/back but still attach it to the Magic Keyboard? I know Logitech has the Combo Touch but that needs twice the amount of desk space to use but it's nice that the Keyboard detaches and you can carry around and use the iPad... r/ipad on Reddit: Best Magic Keyboard Compatible Case
October 23, 2023 -

Hello all.

I've just gotten my first iPad, the iPad Pro 12.9 6th Gen. I got the Magic Keyboard to go along with it.

I have been looking at the Magic Keyboard compatible cases, as I would like something to give me a bit more grip, and some protection for when I don't want to use the Keyboard.

So far I have run across two cases, but have not seen many others. The two I've seen are the Pitaka MagEZ cases, and the Moft Snapcase. I love the look of the Pitaka, especially since I have a carbon fiber theme going with my Apple stuff, but it lacks the pencil retention of the Moft case.

Are there any others out there that are recommended, or is it basically limited at these two?

I'm also looking at getting a Paperlike screen protector. Is it ACTUALLY better than the cheaper alternatives?

Thanks!

Revisiting this. I loved the Pitaka MagEZ case for my iPad Air 4. It was perfect! I just upgraded to the iPad Air 13” (M2) and Pitaka says that they don’t have plans on making a case for this iPad. Any ideas for a Magic Keyboard compatible case for this iPad? (The 12.9” pro cases have different button cutouts…) Also, why isn’t this in higher demand? It seems like a no brainer! I’m shocked that Apple doesn’t have their own back case compatible with the Magic Keyboard!

August 20, 2021 - I have the MagEZ on my 2021 12.9" with the Magic Keyboard. I wouldn't say that the MK closes perfectly, but that's ok with me. I have the CoverBuddy but prefer the quality and fitment of the MagEZ miles above the CoverBuddy.

Best Keyboard Cases for iPad Pro in 2025 - CNET
May 7, 2024 - Two other manufacturers are also worth noting: Logitech makes a keyboard-detachable case with a kickstand that's perfect for Zoom/FaceTime calls using that new zoom-in Center Stage camera, while Brydge has a new case with a large trackpad and a design that feels closest to laptop-like. They all have their advantages, and all work well, but I still prefer Apple's Magic Keyboard for its size/performance over the others. I tested all of these on the 12.9-inch 2021 iPad Pro, which isn't compatible with many older accessories because of its slightly thicker size.

The 3 Best iPad Pro Keyboard Cases of 2026 | Reviews by Wirecutter
November 20, 2025 - With comfortable and responsive backlit keys, a removable inner case, two viewing angles, and the ability to pair with two devices, this Zagg model is the best keyboard case for older iPad Pros. ... The Magic Keyboard’s function row makes it ideal for using an iPad in place of a laptop, but it’s expensive and doesn’t offer much protection.
