Remember that at the bottom of the standard Camera app, you can switch between "Photo" mode and "Portrait" mode - and that with the ".5x / 1x / 2x" indicator just above, you can switch between lenses.
Perhaps it is the new lens correction feature for the Ultra Wide lens that is annoying you. You can turn that off from Settings in the Camera section where you'll find a slider for Lens Correction.

I’m not a photographer, but enjoy taking photos. In my opinion work on your angles and composition. Use the rule of thirds to guide you, it’s not absolute, but a great start. The first shot is great. It’s interesting. The second is decent but I feel it lacks a good focal point and would have straightened it out. The last two, I would have tried to take from the height of the flowers/grass so the flowers are the focus with the sunset in the background. In my opinion composition is the most important thing, it’s what draws you in. Once you get your composition down, have fun editing them. Play around with everything and figure out your style. I just ignore them, those noise and grain. And then i started caring more about composition, environmental lightning and editing, and some other factors that make a photo good. I don't make money from photography, so i don't need my photos to be perfect. I learned resolution and noise aren't important, what emotions the photos bring is important. Because my mind is used to ask me " If you take this great photo that you love and reduce half of its resolution, add noise, grain. Would you still love it?". And my answer is always yes. I found that by turning off the "true tone" in Settings -> Display and Brightness, it massively changed how the image was represented on the screen. The "oranging" effect or "over lighting" is gone, and the picture looks more natural.

Composition and lighting. Focus on these two and you’ll be fine. Night mode (faux-long exposure) and the built in post processing can make up for poor lighting and shakey hands but it’s truly an eye test for what you think would be a good shot. Some of the best photos you will ever see will be grainy as hell, but the composition makes up for it. Personally I like grain because it makes it look like a natural camera photo; the built in post processing makes iPhone photos look so over sharpened and modified that it’s difficult to enjoy.

I resolved it last year with the trick mentioned somewhere: · Make your phone stand up on its own · Then push it so it falls forward or backwards flat on the table (it should make a big bang on your table). · The force of the gravity will make that small dust particle move, in my case it moved out of the frame · If still there, repeat the step 1-3 again. · # · Haven't had issues since then, hope it helps guys.

Solved by sending it to an Apple service. Apparently, it was a problem with it and it was repaired on warranty. Common problem, especially with iph 12. Good luck!
