Hello all,

I have used an OtterBox Defender for years on various phones, and I have never had any problems with them failing to protect my phone. However, I have had a consistent problem with the inner plastic layer cracking and breaking from being pulled out of my pocket. It’s happened on at least three occasions with three separate cases.

This has happened again so I’m in need of a new case, but I’m tired of getting more of the same case that keeps breaking in the same way, so I want to get something else. I’ve used OtterBox cases for a long time, so I’m really not sure what else is good, and reviews I’ve seen online for other brands are a combination of outdated and very mixed. Are there any other good cases out there that protect the phone well and ideally aren’t too slick? I don’t mind bulk all that much, I just want a solid product. This is for an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Ok, so I find my beloved Symmetry case for my equally loved 12 Pro loosing its grip. I start a claim with OtterBox and find that my MagSafe version has limited color availability. I’m fine with just about any color as long as I get the protection and functionality I purchased through Amazon. I am informed that a MagSafe version would be on its way after I send in some pictures. I take the pictures and get approved.

A few weeks later I open an envelope to find a beautiful black Symmetry enclosed, WITHOUT MAGSAFE. I check email and there’s a message saying no more MagSafe symmetry products are available.

I call as I need MagSafe and get danced around with a customer support agent hearing that no more MagSafe product was available in Symmetry. I reluctantly accept some credit that I have yet to claim.

Last night I do some searching as Prime Days were about to start and find new Symmetry cases for a 12 Pro in clear are available from the OTTERBOX STORE.

I am very disappointed in OtterBox on so many fronts.
