Any MagSafe iPhone 12 Pro Max cases that work with the wireless charger in car?
Can someone explain the difference between MagSafe and normal wireless charging?
iPhone 12/Pro Ultimate 0-100% Charger Test with MagSafe! (Timed comparison between 5W, 20W, Qi, and 20W+MagSafe)
In short, not exactly worth the extra money to invest in a 20W brick + a MagSafe *if* you’re looking for speed or already have your older wireless charging setup. It’s barely faster than charging through a 5w.
If you already have a 7.5w wireless charging setup, and do not wish to invest much more on accessories, don’t bother with the 20w brick + MagSafe, it’s not really gonna be faster (only barely). Unless, of course, you really want the benefit of the magnetic circular alignment.
The non-Max models barely reaches half the 15w speed as apple promises. And right now there isn’t a max model to be openly tested yet so we don’t know if it’s the same case. On the currently available models it more consistently pulls around just 6w instead—way under the promised 15w (yes the promised 15w is the peak, and the 7.5w Qi charging doesn’t stay at 7.5w either, but the reality is obvious, the supposedly 15w setup isn’t really faster than your older 7.5w ones. So do not upgrade to this setup *if your only reason is for faster charging than your current ones*, cuz it won’t)
Also, anker’s 20w somehow yields noticeably greater speeds than apple’s 20w (charged via lightning connector)
More on reddit.comTrying to find a one use phone case that I don’t have to take off to charge in the car. I have a MagSafe charger and desk mat so I’d like it to be MagSafe capable too. Any such case exist?
Edit: thank you all, the apple MagSafe case works perfectly for my 12 pro max. I got it for like $20 from Amazon warehouse
I have an iPhone SE 3rd gen which doesn't have MagSafe but has wireless charging. I know MagSafe chargers still work but don't offer the full feature set. Right now, I'm using a MagSafe charger but I don't know what features I'm missing. For example, the charger magnetically sticks to the phone which I thought was the main point of MagSafe. Other than the special graphic when you put your phone on a MagSafe charger, what else do you get? I'm asking because the no one makes MagSafe compatible cases for the SE because it doesn't have it, but it seems to achieve the same thing.
