Why all day battery Air needs exclusive MagSafe Battery? | MacRumors Forums
They could've just mentioned it ... battery pack". Guess we won't know until Friday onwards and customers start getting their phones and test it out in real world usage. ... Apple said that the Air will have "all day battery life" and since it has the same capacity as my 16 Pro, I would welcome it. I am not the Pro type user that heavily uses 24 hours a day. iPhone magsafe battery pack? | Overclockers UK Forums
I have an iPhone 13PM and might need to get a battery pack for longer battery life. It must not use a cable to connect to the iPhone so will need to use magsafe. Does anyone know of any that are available with large capacities and are well regarded? Max buget: £50. More on forums.overclockers.co.uk

MagSafe battery pack vs power bank
I have both an Apple magsafe battery pack and an ESR 10,000 mah magsafe battery pack. The Apple magsafe battery pack gets slapped on at full charge and extends my 14 pro max’s battery life by a good amount (few hours). It’s also super nice for gaming without having to be tied to an outlet. I only use the Apple battery for gaming as it keeps my phone from getting hot. Note: the battery does go down when gaming (doesn’t get up charged) as it’s meant to extend and protect your battery, not charge it to 100% When I’m charging all my devices at the end of the day, I typically only charge the Apple MagSafe battery with my AirPods on it as the Apple MagSafe battery does it’s job at keeping my phone at 90% so there’s no need to charge my phone. The ESR battery pack is nice to have because of the capacity and kickstand. I typically use this at home when I’m cooking or eating for the stand, or when I’m watching videos in bed for extended periods. It is noticeably bulkier than the Apple MagSafe battery. Another plus is that you can charge other devices via a usb-c port. The Apple battery is slim, protects your phone by optimizing charging, and is convenient to just slap on and use. The ESR battery is nice for the extra juice and kickstand. Both are worth it. More on reddit.com

Review: MagSafe Battery Pack from Apple — small, lightweight solution for additional iPhone power when you are on-the-go – iPhone J.D.
I use an iPhone 13 Pro, and about 60% additional charge seems about right. Without this battery pack, my iPhone would have died most days in the afternoon, but instead, I was able to make it through the end of the day.

Apple MagSafe Battery Pack review: convenience over capacity | The Verge
The MagSafe Battery is designed to match the dimensions of the iPhone 12 Mini perfectly. It aligns exactly to the edges and is more comfortable to hold than I expected. If you have a larger iPhone, it will sit on the back a bit more awkwardly — it looks positively tiny on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Every battery pack looks silly attached to a phone

r/apple on Reddit: iPhone Air MagSafe Battery Review – The Thinnest Power Bank I’ve Ever Used
September 19, 2025 -

Okay, so I just picked up the new iPhone Air MagSafe battery and… wow. I’ve owned my fair share of portable chargers, but this thing feels totally different. Let me break it down:

What I love:

  1. The ridiculous thinness: It’s only 3,000mAh, so yeah, it makes sense, but this is hands down the thinnest portable battery I’ve ever held. It feels less like a chunky power bank and more like slipping a slim wallet or card holder into your pocket. With bigger packs I usually debate whether to even bring them, but this one? I just throw it in my pocket without thinking.

  2. The soft-touch material: the attaching side isn’t rough or plasticky—it’s smooth, almost luxurious. Actually feels good against your hand/skin.

  3. It charges AirPods wirelessly: Didn’t expect it to work, but it does. Super handy.

  4. **The design details:**The charging light hides behind translucent plastic, so it glows subtle and clean instead of screaming “cheap blinking LED.” Legit one of the nicest-looking power banks I’ve ever seen.

  5. Size vs. a regular pack: Put it next to my 10,000mAh Anker brick and the difference is insane—this thing is dramatically slimmer and way easier to carry.

The cons:

  • $100 for 3,000mAh is… yeah, steep. You can grab 25,000mAh bricks for the same price.

  • No wireless recharge for the battery itself (no MagSafe puck support). USB-C only.

  • No real battery indicator—just orange when dying, green when charged. No idea how much is left unless you guess.

  • Pretty much exclusive to the iPhone Air. Doesn’t really fit other devices.

  • At 3,000mAh it’s not a heavy-use solution. If you’re traveling or powering multiple devices, you’ll still want a bigger 10,000mAh+ pack.

Overall: If you’re an iPhone Air user who likes to travel light, this thing is perfect. Apple clearly leaned into slimness with the phone, and this accessory nails the same vibe -tiny boost, premium feel, disappears in your pocket. I’ll still pack my bigger brick for long trips, but for daily carry? This one’s staying with me.

Why all day battery Air needs exclusive MagSafe Battery? | MacRumors Forums
September 15, 2025 - The issue with the Apple official battery pack is that the battery in it is identical to the 3,149mAh in the Air itself; which is incredibly small when you consider how much power you lose when wirelessly charging.

13 Best MagSafe Power Banks for iPhones (2025), Tested and Reviewed | WIRED
November 22, 2025 - Apple's MagSafe Battery for iPhone Air for $99: The super svelte iPhone Air doesn’t have room for a big battery, so Apple offers this perfectly sized MagSafe add-on, capable of charging wirelessly at 12 watts. But, with just 3,149 mAh of power (it charged the iPhone Air to 68 percent), it’s awfully pricey. Still, it's one of the few perfectly designed for the iPhone Air. You can technically use it with other iPhones, but you'll have to rotate the power bank so that it hangs horizontally. Statik State Power Bank for $60: This pack uses semisolid battery tech, meaning there’s less liquid inside, so it’s safer (won’t catch fire, even if damaged), and it should last longer.

1 week ago - Read our full Baseus Picogo 25W Wireless 10000mAh Power Bank (AM61) review ... At just 0.58 inches thick, this 10000mAh power bank rivals even some of the 5000mAh battery packs in terms of slimness. It’s also lighter than any other 10K magnetic wireless power bank that we have tested, and wins too on recharging power. It’s only the integrated USB-C cable that pushes us to recommend the Anker Zolo or Baseus power banks for owners of the iPhone 15/16/17.

I tested six MagSafe battery packs, this is the best one for iPhone
1 month ago - Beyond all that, I guess I’d also say avoid the tech bin at Winners. Cables are probably fine, but this battery is absolute trash. The Apple version felt the nicest to use (when on the iPhone Air), but its low total charge and high price will make it a deal breaker for most.

September 14, 2025 - When choosing between the MagSafe Battery Pack and budget power banks, consider what’s more important to you—convenience or capacity. October 27, 2025 - When ZDNET's Sabrina Ortiz tested it earlier this year, it boosted her iPhone 14 from 40% to 60% in just 30 minutes. Ortiz also found that the charger steadily charged her multiple devices relatively evenly when 3-in-1 charging was used. Also: I found a Qi2 charging station that can do it all (and Apple users will love it) Who should look elsewhere: If you're looking for just a MagSafe battery pack, consider other options on this list.
