I switched to ally in March of 2023 after being with Citibank for 20+ years and I haven’t had any issues. I opened a checking, savings, and a couple of CD’s. There are no maintenance fees and Zelle’s are instantaneous. The bucket system is fascinating. The ability to control transaction types on your debit card is nifty. I use my debit card about twice a year to withdraw cash so I have it set where I can only use it for that. Any other type of transaction is declined. Answer from SkepticG8mer on reddit.com

I’ve been thinking of switching my bank and moving my money somewhere else because I’m tired of all the monthly maintenance fees that Chase has me pay. After all, I don’t have my money over a minimum limit ($300 for savings and $1,500 for Total Checking) and while I’m considering switching to SoFi, I wanted to ask if Ally is any good. What are its pros and cons? How many savings accounts can I have?

I love Ally Bank. I’ve never paid a fee and always had excellent customer service. Their CD rates are fabulous as well as their savings accounts.

I’ve been using Ally for years and haven’t had any issues at all. Everything works great. Would highly recommend using them. With no monthly fees open an account anyway and try it out. You have nothing to lose
