2 days ago - "Oh, Indominus wasn't bred. She was designed. She will be fifty feet long when fully grown. r/JurassicPark on Reddit: What do you think is the most powerful "Dinosaur" in the franchise
June 8, 2025 -

(Obviously not counting Mosa for, obvious reasons)

(Edit: also the D. Rex, because that isn't a "Dinosaur", that is a an abomination)

Also, for Indom, we are counting ths individual thing we saw, so, no Adult Indominus Rex shenanigans, just the one we saw in the movie

I'd say Asset 87, aka, the Spinosaurus

It has the best feats AND statements in the franchise on that regard

Like, it has tanked three separate T-Rex bites to the neck, a plane propeller to the sail, smashing through the fence, the fire, all of the stuff in Camp Cretaceous, not to mention all of the crazy other feats

Like, it has taken down a T-Rex the fastest in the franchise, and before you go "oh, it wasn't a fully grown T-Rex" well, NEITHER WAS ASSET 87 FULLY GROWN

It is literally stated everywhere as a "T-Rex Killer" and was stated it could cause localized extinction events and could even drive Isla Sorna into extinction, an Island, I remind you, that has two fully grown T-Rexes on it by that point, plus Junior, who was likely an early sub-adult at the time, plus a MASSIVE amount of Raptors, and Asset 87 could apparently solo that

Let's bring in some other competition really quickly

The biggest is obviously the Indom, as it wiped out a ton of apatosauruses and plenty of other stuff, plus claws that can pierce bulletproof glass, but I mean, it lost to one of the weakest versions of Rexy we've ever seen as soon as Blue joined, and already was showing blood from the bites even before then, cut to Asset 87 getting bitten on the neck like thrice and no marks being left

Now we cut to the Giganotosaurus(es), who, well, we're focused on the one in slightly more of the movie, because that one actually has feats, and, it managed to beat what is, debatably the strongest overall version of Rexy we have ever seen, only briefly, and was stated to have come to blows with Buck and Doe in the past, but, Asset 87 by statements could solo both of them, also, the Giganotosaurus got scarred by the Therizinosaurus and in the end died to a combo of it and Rexy, meanwhile Asset 87 could solo two, possibly three T-Rexes, and the biggest raptor pack in the franchise, according to statements

Not to mention, Asset 87s Intelligence is CRAZY underrated, like, arguably the smartest without any raptor DNA, like, and even then, arguably smarter than most unnamed raptors we've seen, heck, arguably smarter than some NAMED raptors we've seen

Also, like, Asset 87 might definitely have the best BATTLE Intelligence in the franchise, it's a known Rex Killer, and is still alive at the time of Dominion, maybe not by Rebirth, but, it'd have died of old age in that case

TLDR; Asset 87 is the strongest of the franchise (Obviously, again, not counting the Mosa)

r/JurassicPark on Reddit: Strongest Dino
April 8, 2025 -

At this point, it should be clear that the spino from cc and jp/// is the strongest therapod in the whole franchise while being alive. Some people may say he can't beat Rexy or big eatie but he's clearly meant to be the Trex killer and his physical stats are way above them, Giga, on the other hand, is kinda hard to scale considering how low screen time it has, the only notable feat giga had was beating a 34 y/o Rexy and then impaled and getting killed by the Theri which isn't a good look. The only dino left is the Indom, now I do think the Indom can win or give a good battle but Spino ultimately wins 7 out of 10 times why?? Spino is more durable, has better battle exp, is heavier, has better strategies/techniques against other big therapods, and is more agile and stronger.

r/JurassicPark on Reddit: Could a realistic T. rex take out the Indominus?
December 20, 2023 -

The I. rex has been lauded as the top predator in the franchise, able to shrug off an Anky's club to its head, resist fire from a 20mm helicopter autocannon, and survive bazooka blasts.

Although, I think it must be noted that the Indominus did not actually get hit by those weapons - watch carefully how she avoids them.

In any case, could a realistic T. rex defeat the Indominus?

I believe it would simply boil down to whether the InGen rex has a weaker bite than their real counterpart, or dinosaurs in the series are unnaturally durable, able to resist a 6 ton bite force to the neck.

Rexy got the first bite on the I. rex in their confrontation, similar to the JP3 Bull doing so to the Spinosaurus

Do you believe the InGen rex had a reduced bite force? Do you think a real rex would have a chance against the Indominus?

Personally, I think if the InGen rexes had a reduced bite force (explaining how the other dinosaurs could shrug off their bites), then I feel like a real rex would have a good chance of winning if it lands the first bite.

I find this discussion challenging. We know a bit about the T.rex, but a lot is ambiguous. Comparing it to an outright work of fiction is tricky. If the Indominus was a regular theropod, I doubt it would stand a chance. The T.rex was a tank, massive and muscular. It had the strongest bite force ever seen. In contrast, the Indominus is a bag of bones. It is slender, it has a lighter skull with fewer and probably smaller teeth that don't interlock. They don't cut off flesh. A bite from the Indominus wouldn't cause severe damage to the robust neck of a Tyrannosaurus, unless it struck an artery. While the claws of the Indominus could inflict bigger wounds, if Rexy chomps down with full force, the battle is over. However, with the Indominus being a movie monster, anything is possible. They don't explain its durability, portraying it as a supervillain with no apparent weakness, except for being smaller than a mosasaurus. Invincibility is a killer argument. But assuming it's "just" very strong and tenacious, and more agile than the Rex, it could potentially hurt the opponent. If it could avoid Rexy's jaws, its hands might be a threat. If it could grip its skull and swing about, it might by a small chance break its neck. If it could ram Rexy and flip her, there's a chance to suffocate her. Overall, the fight in the movie had good dynamic, it's just that one animal had absurd superpowers. However, this isn't limited to dinosaurs; it happens with movie humans too. They take a bullet and shrug it off, just like Indo and Spino shrug off a Rex bite. In conclusion, as always, the only theropod that stands a fair chance against a Tyrannosaurus is another Tyrannosaurus.

It's tough to decide whether the InGen T. rex's bite was nerfed or if the opponents they took on were buffed. In any supplementary material, you'll see the T. rex's bite being hyped up as the strongest, yet the films have never portrayed it as such a devastating weapon. Part of me wishes Rexy had crushed the Giga's throat in her mouth, both as a callback to their ancestral fight and as a means to finally show how devastating that bite can be. I'm erring on nerfed.
