The number of divorcing couples is on the rise, and in 2019 reached a peak of 15,992 couples, of which 12,336 are Jewish (77% of those who divorce) and 2,581 are Muslims (16% of those who divorce) and the rest (7%) are members of other religions, have no religion or couples where the spouses are not of the same religion.
