I'm assuming you mean a setter method as in set an object?

private String yourString;

public void setYourString(String yourString) {
    this.yourString = yourString;
}

This is basic code though so you probably mean something else?

Let me know.

Creating Getters and Setters in Java: Example Program | by Revalina Azahra Prinawan | Medium
March 20, 2024 - By leveraging object-oriented programming concepts, we can create classes such as `Mahasiswa0242` and `Order024` that have properties and methods for easily managing and accessing data. The implementation of getters and setters allows us to separate business logic from data representation, thereby facilitating code management and the development of more modular applications. Hopefully, this article provides a better understanding of the concepts of getters and setters in Java and inspires the creation of useful simple programs in software development.

@Getter and @Setter
A default getter simply returns the field, and is named getFoo if the field is called foo (or isFoo if the field's type is boolean). A default setter is named setFoo if the field is called foo, returns void, and takes 1 parameter of the same type as the field.

July 18, 2026 - Let’s write another Java program where we will make a class named Mensuration. In this class, we will declare private variables and a couple of public getter and setter methods to make it read-write. We will calculate the circumference, area of the circle, and area and perimeter of the rectangle using the getter and setter methods. Look at the example code. class Mensuration { private double l, b, r; // length, breadth, and radius. // Create getter methods for each variable.
