If you’re looking for 3050 Ti or similar, the IdeaPad is usually the top contender. And I don’t see how you could do much better at that price point. I’ve seen people ordering them for $900 More on reddit.com

For it's price point it's a great deal. I have it and am satisfied. The only cons are that the chassis feels flimsy (I never had any issues, but I don't move it much). In some resource hungry games (Doom Eternal for ex) you will notice that it will slowly discharge even though it's plugged in. This is because the supplied 135w charger doesn't cut it. Screen is good. It has a 2nd hard drive bay, but it only fits a short SSD. Out of the box it comes with a long SSD which can be swapped for a HDD with the supplied carriage. 1 8GB ram is soldered. That's about all the cons. The biggest pro is that you won't find another brand with these good specs for this price More on reddit.com

August 30, 2024 - I’ve had my experience with a gaming laptop specifically the Dell G15 5515 with similar specs to the ones listed in your post. First off the GPU is a “Laptop GPU” which does in fact not perform as well as a PC GPU . The 3050 Laptop GPU performs quite the same as a GTX 1060.
