Customer complains about issues with his new Thinkpad E15 Gen2 with USB-C Dock Gen2 ( 40AS0090EU). After login, displays stay black and nothing works until he removes and plug in the USB-C cable. After some hours, the same thing happens again.
We have bought two docks and with both of them, the problems happens. We switched the USB-C cable, same problem happen.
However, for 1-2 days we have used the dock from another employee which has an older firmware. There were no issues with it. Maybe there are some problems with the newest firmware?
Current firmware is V1.0.6.06161 from Juny 2020. I don't find any link to an archive or older firmware. Where can I get the older firmware and is it even possible to downgrade?

Any other tips about this? It seems we are not the only people who have this kind of issues with this dock. However, there are other employees with Thinkpads and USB-C Dock Gen2 where everything works fine.
It seems as if Lenovo has removed the firmware for the USB-C Gen 2 dock. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/accessories/acc500106
The support page is still up, however scrolling down to Drivers and Software, and then clicking the firmware button provides the following link:

Is anyone aware of where to find the firmware for the dock? This is pretty frustrating!
We started having issues popping up randomly where users in our offices reported a loss of video through their Lenovo USB-C "Gen 2" docks. After a bunch of reading of Lenovo's forums, it sounds like this has been going on for at least a couple years now.
Their dock firmware does the update in several sections, launching different utilities in sub-folders from a batch file or main "launcher" application. And if any one piece fails, it results in the dock reporting it successfully updated to the current version -- but part of it is non-functional.
I believe our issue stems from certain versions of the Intel integrated video drivers on our mix of Lenovo notebooks causing conflicts with their updater.
Lenovo's responses to these issues seem less than helpful. Basically, they just tell people to RMA the docks. (All of ours are out of warranty already.)
Has anyone found a way to force the Lenovo firmware updater to re-flash a dock without checking its version first? A "/force" type option seems like such a basic thing, and can't believe Lenovo doesn't support it somehow?
