I've never renovated a kitchen before and I need a relatively large renovation done. I have a contractor I may use vs using Lowes / Home Depot's subcontractors; however, how are the cabinets from them quality wise? When I Google for reviews for their brands I see a LOT of complaints but is that just bias bc those are the people who post? Which Lowes / HD brands are good? Is it worth going through them or should I do a local smaller store? I feel like those prices would be higher? I'm clearly new to this and could use some advice.

Question on a sale that I noticed for 40% off cabinets if you spend $20,000 or more.
Is this a pretty common sale price? We are planning a kitchen remodel but not for about 12-18 months. Is it worth trying to take advantage of a sale like this or is it likely we will encounter it again next year?

They ran that promotion around Black Friday as well. It’s a fairly common promotion but definitely not an every day one like you see with appliance discounts. If you’re willing to give yourself 6-12mo, this discount will likely come around again.

It’s definitely not worth rushing yourself to get the order in before the sale ends. I’ve seen a couple customers do that and the headaches it causes are NOT worth the extra savings. Typically anything over $20k is going to be 30% off. The extra 10% comes from cabinet companies doing “bonus days”, which they’ve done multiple times over the last few months and I don’t see that randomly stopping any time soon. You can also sign up to be an MVP, which will give you access to our Volume Savings Program. I’ve seen VSP give better discounts than the promotion we were running at the time.

Has anyone purchased lowes cabinets for a full kitchen remodel? I was priced for a few different options but reviews vary SO much. Diamond now, look very cheap but the price is hard to look away from. Allen and Roth, look better but the price creeps up to what our semi custom was priced at (same quality it appears). And shannadola (sp?) we’re up there with Allen and Roth.
Curious what everyone’s reviews are!

We got Shenandoah cabinets from Lowe's. Liked the options and quality better than Ikea in person. No complaints at all, we went with plywood boxes and maple fronts. The kitchen design team was surprisingly good to work with.
