I'm so confused. I watched season one on my own. Then watched it again in a film format with my partner. I've just found out via gigguk that there is a season 2 and other programming.

After season 1, watch the movie "Dawn of the Deep Soul." After Dawn of the Deep Soul, watch season 2 which is called "The Golden City of the Scorching Sun". Dawn of the Deep Soul is probably the most beloved arc by the fandom and is essential to understanding season 2.

Season 1 = The movie "Journey's Dawn" and "Wandering Twilight" These two movies together are just Season 1 in long format. Wandering Twilight ends where Season 1 ends. The movie "Dawn of The Deep Soul" comes after Season 1 / Wandering Twilight. This movie contains the story in the 5th layer. Season 2 starts where Dawn of the Deep Soul ends. Also, don't be confused by the start of Season 2. Just because you don't immediately recognize the characters and story, it doesn't mean you're in the wrong place. It all becomes clear.

The watch order is; Season 1 Movie 3: Dawn of the Deep Soul Season 2: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun Since you already watched Season 1, you can skip the recap movies; Movie 1: Journey's Dawn Movie 2: Wandering Twilight There are also two specials, which are both optional; Marulk's Daily Life (watch after Season 1) Together with Papa (watch after Movie 3) You can start reading the manga from chapter 61, but it's recommended you start from the beginning as the anime did not cover a few side stories that later turned out to be super important.
