How to break into market research?
Find an opportunity to conduct survey research using quantitative data analysis before you graduate. You should be able to find a class or research lab on campus where you can get this experience, even as a sociology major. You also want to get experience with a few programs, even if you only scratch the surface. Qualtrics (Survey Building) and SPSS (Data Analysis) are two programs that I used in college doing research. Experience with data manipulation in excel and data visualization in powerpoint are also helpful. Don't hesitate to reach out to your academic advisor about this too, they may know of opportunities. Good luck! More on reddit.com
