The absolutely best slim bootcut are not made anymore. They were RRL slim bootcut in selvedge or just denim and were made in all sorts of colors and fades. If you can find a pair somewhere they are vanity sized, so get a size up. I have gone through all of them. Wrangler retro are ok but cheap, Diesel used to be ok, the boots companies are too much, Levi’s are a weird cut in slim bootcut, even the domestic brands like AE AF were better than Levi’s to me. I’m slightly athletic not bulky frame. Also I am speaking to slim bootcut. I wear straight legs in certain boots but the square toes all have wider shafts, need bootcuts…even if they aren’t popular anymore. I love mine. Caught John Dutton wearing them on Yellowstone my wife caught it actually pretty cool to see 10+ year old jeans on a new show. McGraw wears them. And I’ve seen a few other Texas artist wear them. Are there any brands that have lower/shorter rise jeans for men? My jeans sit below my stomach but it makes the crotch hang way too low. Wondering if lower rise would fix this but can't find anything.
