Looking to purchase this.... any opinions on their furniture? Its for the basement. We don't want to spend a ton of money at an actual furniture store because have 2 young kids and a cat with claws that we can't seeem to keep from scratching shit.

I’ve bought both sets of living room furniture I’ve owned from Menards. They’re fine overall if you’re not expecting high quality. The first set really started to suck after about three months; the couch cushions squished to the point of being able to feel the support beam in the back. The first set also endured two sets of kitten claws decently well but has obvious scratching marks. The second set has held up comfort wise much better and the cats are now two and don’t have clawing issues. I don’t have kids so I can’t comment on how it’ll hold up there.

November 22, 2024 - Upon closer review, the brick molding did not have 90-degree angles in the corners, thereby skewing the squareness of the door. This explained why it was impossible to plumb the door into the opening, since the unit was not square with the brick molding attached. A week after it was installed, the plastic sill plate cracked. Menards does not warranty the workmanship of their product, but only offered to send out parts to replace the defective parts.

I love the outdoor furniture I picked up from Menards. I purchased everything at a great discount. Living in an urban area yards tend to be small. My swing and rockets are perfect for my side yard. They are so comfortable and my outdoor area is beautiful to sit and entertain friends.

Full disclosure, they were for our rental cabin. Ended up buying Lazy Boy from Murphy’s Furniture in Arbor Vitae. The couch and recliner are 4 years old now, and have held up quite well. I will say, the Menards stuff is a quarter of the price.

Cheaper prices than HD or Lowes for similar items. Or Menards has an indoor lumberyard, so it is reasonable. Friendly service. My only complaints are... They don't cut plywood to size for free like they do at HD. And they don't have reviews on their website to see the quality of their products.

I would not ask for compensation if I didn't have to replace all of the locks and handles with a higher quality brand. What I really want is for Menards to stop selling this awful unreliable product to unaware consumers as they are marketing it as a high quality product.

Wife and I are shopping for new living room furniture, I was at Menards and saw these on display. They are almost exactly the same set as we had just looked at for more than double at the furniture stores.
How is everyone’s experience with the living room furniture from Menards? Or should I avoid these at all cost?
My local store shows low stock, if they are out of stock can I order them and pick up at a later date? Or is it once they’re gone there gone?

I've had Menard's furniture and like most things, you get what you pay for. This isn't a bad price, and if it's just you and your wife and other reasonable adults, you'll probably get five to six years out of this at the very least. But if you have teenagers or younger children, definitely less. Low stock is because furniture is seasonal at Menard's. They don't carry it all year around so once it's gone it's gone, at least until next year. You might be able to order and pick it up later; it just depends on what inventory they have available at the distribution centers. My advice is to go in and give it a sit and see what you think. If you like it, buy it then, or else you'll have to wait until next year before you see it again.

We just bought this exact set few weeks ago. We like them so far! They are nice considering they are from Menards. I went with the extended warranty too. I haven’t met anyone who buys powered furniture and expects it to last 10+ years.
