Once I started wearing jeans with a stretchy waistband (American Eagle Flex, Aviator jeans), all other pants feel not as great to me. I just got Outlier slim dungarees, but the waistband is super tight and has zero stretch. I will try to order a size up, but stretchy waistbands are now a must for me. Any other pants out there similar to the Outlier ones but have a stretchy waistband? Cost is a non issue.

Hello, I'm looking for a way to turn regular pants into hidden expandable waist pants like these. I already own some like this and I think they're great. I carry a considerable amount of weight in my midsection, which means pants that fit when standing are painfully tight when I sit, and pants that fit when I'm sitting are falling off when I stand (not to mention I find my legs swimming in excess fabric).

These types of pants are comfortable siting or standing for me and still look nice without having an obvious elastic waist. They can be hard to find though so I would like to be able to alter regular pants to be like this. Does anyone know of a pattern for this?
