Yea theres a reason they dont let us call the stores directly. Usually i wont drive to my local stores (2 30min away 4 within an hour) unless it says something like 10+ or if its something not in high demand. If youre trying to get gtx 3000, AMD 5000 or rtx 6000 cards youre better off getting there at opening each day (tues-friday) and trying your luck

Probably someone who thinks it's not a good idea for an employee to be glued to the phone all day while people call nonstop asking when the next 3080 shipment is. So someone with good business sense is my bet.

Hello I want to get my first pc and planning to go to micro center and have them build it does anyone have any recent experience with the Rockville or Parkville locations?

I would go to Parkville. I'm not a fan of the Rockville store. It tends to be much busier, and the associates are heavily sales focused. With that said, I've never dealt with their build center associates. I have, however, dealt with the Parkvile build center associates, and they are all fantastic. If I had to give them a title, they would be "super laid back gamer bros"; all really chill.

No experience with either build centers but I've had good experiences with RV and PV. PV is an easier drive for me so I frequent them more. I only go to RV if they have something in stock that PV doesn't. My last experience at RV was picking up an open box 7900XTX and they couldn't find it under my name. The gentleman looked high and low for it and found it in their "blue return to floor" box. My last experience at PV was picking up a 9800X3D and chatting with the cashier about our PCs and what games we play for about 15 minutes after I had paid

I have a question that the online support said I need to talk to the store but they don't have anyway to contact the store, but I live an hour away from the nearest Micro Center so just popping in to ask isn't ideal.

Why would a store as big as Micro Center not have a phone. I wasted more of support's time than a 2 minute phone call would have taken.

Probably because most calls were wastes of time like “is this in stock?”

I was able to ask support to relay a message for me and I gave them my contact information. The manager of the store contacted me back minutes later.

None at 10 today, asked the same guy as yesterday a couple questions They haven't gotten any since launch, and he thinks the online stock listing should at least be accurate at the time the store opens each day
