Feedback on mixed evergreen tree hedge design
Your inspiration photo is of a much deeper mini-forest than your layout - which is basically linear. You won't give up the space to go at least 2 plants deep? Or find a different inspiration? Edit to say - you are comparing a clump to a line (albeit a wavy one). More on reddit.com

Looking for an evergreen 'privacy screen' tree that does well in the Austin area
Arizona or blue cypress is the variety that DOES do well here. Additionally Southern Wax Myrtle is great for this. I have Centre Court Cherry Laurels for this and they are amazing and grow 5ft per year and take trimming extremely well. They donโ€™t like wet feet however so you would need to build a slight bed around them. If space is limited another one is sky pencil holly which is very happy here More on reddit.com

How to Create a Privacy Screen Using A Variety of Deciduous and Evergreen Plants
