PowerShell is a very powerful tool and can do pretty much anything with any Microsoft product, including UWP Apps.
To find where an appx is installed you can use the command Get-AppxPackage -Name PackageName.
The package names are usually very hard to guess, for example the current name of the Netflix app is "4DF9E0F8.Netflix". Some app names have 0 relation to the name shown in the start menu.
To make it a bit easier, you can use the Where-Object instead of the -Name parameter.
Get-AppxPackage | Where-Object {$_.Name -like "*flix*"}
This will look for any appx packages which name matches *flix*.
The result on my computer is this:

In the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\4DF9E0F8.Netflix_6.93.478.0_x64__mcm4njqhnhss8 folder I can see that it's a WinJS app written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
There's no Netflix.exe in that folder?
There's not. I don't think you've ever seen a Netflix.exe (unless it's a virus). Here's a screenshot from my Task Manager while having Netflix up and running.
You need to add C:\Windows\System32\WWAHost.exe to your VPN exception list. Because Netflix is a UWP app thus WWAHost.exe is used for networking.
Note: Any apps that use WWAHost.exe will be affected as well.
A new Netflix app was supposed to release this month, but what did we get? A refresh app featuring modern design, animations and windows 11 style designs? Nope we got a downgrade, the new “app” is pretty much a web shortcut of Netflix.com that runs on your browser which is less efficient than an actual app.
When i read that they were going to remove downloads i already knew they’d replace the app with a web-app since those don’t allow offline downloads.
Overall this feels like a big downgrade and it’s disappointing cause a new Netflix app was released for windows to the world in 2016 for it to just end up being neglected when it comes to keeping up with modern app design like the competitors had.
Now we have a web-app that doesn’t cost Netflix any money to maintain cause now they only have to maintain their website instead of also focusing on making a proper app for windows devices.
