Wife and I finally got out from under a rock and have Netflix in our lives now. Still love Tubi but with Netflix at the helm please recommend some must see. Enjoy all kinds...slasher, paranormal, classics, obscure, modern.
I will peruse other's posts and lists but you never know who will see this post to recommend stuff too.
Will be stoked to finally finish Breaking Bad, see Castlevania, and check out Cobra Kai although not horror related.
Apologies if there have been too many "recommend me" posts but I appreciate it.
What are the best horror movies on Netflix currently? They don’t have to be Netflix original just good. For context some of my favorite horror films are Hereditary, Creep, The Babadook, The Sadness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the original Speak No Evil.

for those of us who subscribe to too many streaming services
I end up spending 40 minutes each night scrolling through the options of available movies on HBO Max and/or Netflix before inevitably giving up and just going to sleep. Call it analysis paralysis if you will. I am looking for suggestions on good horror movies available now on these platforms. From the current availability I have seen and enjoyed: Hereditary, Malignant and Barbarian. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Check out the app Just Watch. You can tell them what streaming services you have and it will show you new movies or popular movies on those services. You can filter by genre too.
Some stuff I feel is worth watching on both
Netflix
His House, It Follows, 30 Days of Night, The Platform, Under The Shadow, The Strangers, The Ritual, El Conde, Lights Out, Cargo
Max
It Comes At Night, The Exorcist, Under The Skin, The Blackcoats Daughter, Evil Dead Rise, Scanners, Let Me In, The Lodge, Parasite, Cronos, Midsommer, The Lodge
The last 5 really good horror movies I've watched:
When Evil Lurks
You'll Never Find Me
Host
Gongiam: Haunted Asylum
Hell House 4 (Carmichael Manor)
Latest disappointments: A Dark Song and Lake Mungo. Also, not a fan of aliens or home invasion movies.
Given all that, suggestions?
Looking for some hidden gems. I’ve taken a lot of suggestions from this sub in the last few weeks and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Here are the ones I’ve watched recently:
Smile & Smile 2
Bring her back
talk to me
the substance
late night with the devil
midsommar
sinners
hereditary
the witch
speak no evil
There are more but those are the ones that stand out in my mind. Excited to watch more!
I worded that title weird - I’m looking for ones that are on streaming services - hbo max - Netflix - Hulu - paramount - prime video
