So, they have some GPUs that are basically out of stock everywhere else that I looked. Wondering if it is safe to buy from them and if their return/refund policies are good in case something goes wrong. I have never bought a pc part online as I prefer buying them from stores but the CC near me has almost no reasonably priced GPU lol. So, I am wondering if I should just buy it from them.
They have sales going on but they have a very low rating on the better business bureau.
Are there any concerns with shopping from newegg? What other retailers (aside from microcenter) do you use instead? Thanks.
Basically, title. I plan on doing a massive PC upgrade, but as the fellow Canadians know, Canada Post went on Strike, as of this post on day 12, with no resolution in sight. I'm (obviously) worried that if I bother to order my new PC build from Newegg, it will be lost in limbo for god knows how long. Alternatively, I managed to scrounge up the same parts for Amazon albeit for 300+ dollars more than if I got it through Amazon, and im fairly certain the strike doesnt effect Amazon. What do you think? What have you guys done thus far during the strike period? Thanks in advance.
Hey all, was gonna upgrade my gou soon and found the 9070xt model i want on newegg and CC. I’m wondering which vendor would be better to order from currently?
Edit: Forgot to add I don’t live near a CC so I would have to get it shipped anyway.
Is it possible to buy something on Newegg Canada from the United States?

CAn a Canadian person buy from newegg.com and get it shipped normally etc. like RAM or cpu etc.? OR does he have to buy from newegg.ca? What are the implications of buying him from newegg.com if so. warrantys are the same? returns? etc etc Asking for a friend. (sounds weird but true lol)
tell your dumb friend to go on the website and look himself
Greetings,
If you have registered billing information for the US and attempt to order of Newegg.ca, it will not process as that is exclusive to Canadian residents while Newegg.com is exclusive to US residents.
Thank you,
Louis [Newegg Support]
Some other places have cheaper deals, and pcpartpicker seems to default it to newegg.com, so I'm just wondering if this is my only option.
Whenever I try to change the shipping address to Canada it bounce me back to newegg.ca website and I cant complete the order. How come?
I remember building a computer and here in Canada and Newegg, TigerDirect and NCIX were really the only options. How did Newegg survive. They are absolutely terrible. I tried calling the help line yesterday. After putting in my order number it hung up on me 3 times. I got someone on online chat. Every question took 5 mins to answer because he had to "check with his team". Just a terrible experience overall. I ordered a case, Mobo and bunch of fans. Case and Mobo were great. Showed up in 2 days. The 7 fans....not so much. Now I have this pc sitting here waiting for fans that and I quote "were probably lost in shipping but we need to wait x amount of days before we can do anything." It will be 2 weeks before we can even start the process. I ordered replacement fans from Amazon yesterday and they will be here tomorrow. You know what. I am calling Mastercard today and seeing if they want to fight this battle. Never again Newegg. I learned my lesson.
Could be worse...
My cooling system showed up, but wasn't compatible with the mobo, even though newegg's ad copy said it did.
Newegg told me to take it up with the manufacturer.
The mfr says "No, it wont' work with those boards, they're too new." The mfrs specs said the same.
Newegg never did anything except tell me to call the manufacturer.
Funny thing... they changed their ad copy to match the manufacturers about 6 months later.
Never did anything for me at all.
Bastards.
Hey there! Can you please send us a private message with your order details so we can take a look into this for you? -Frank
Haven't bought from them for a while and sometimes I see an item with a decent price but they charge 20$ shipping from US so price is no more that good and I can just buy at the same price somewhere else here in Canada.
Is that new? Is it because of COVID?
I would guess because they don’t have stock of that item at their Canadian warehouses, so they show stock of their American warehouses.
Could also be that they don't feel the item warrants stock space in Canada du to lower/slow sales here in comparison to the US where they can turn that stock over faster making a better profit. Just a guess though.
Anyone made an account with newegg.com and able to order from there? I seem to miss out on a ridiculous number of deals because of this.
I apologize in advance if you came in here thinking I had the instructions.
BC were so bad, we got 0 gpu not even 5080 on launch day from CC and ME.
I'm wondering if newegg.ca ever dropped? Anyone that placed order actually able to confirm?
If you had to choose a 1000$ gift card from one or the other for gaming PC parts, which would you pick and why?
If I'm in a hurry, Newegg, 1 stop shop. But if you can find everything on Amazon with prime shipping, assuming you are a prime member, then go for Amazon... Just stay away from 3rd party vendors with 30+ days shipping times 😂
Newegg, because in spite of their horror stories and worse customer support (compared to Amazon), they don't charge QST :/ so that's pretty much an extra 10% bonus
