Hi guys. I got a Cooler master MA620P but the stock cooler master fans it came with are not aging well. I'm looking at the possibility of getting a couple of Noctua fans for it since I've heard many good things about them. Most notably sound level and their great ability to cool. I'm looking at keeping the cooler because I don't have too much spare cash for a new Noctua cooler. I was hoping to get some suggestions from you kind folk on what Noctua fan would be best on my cooler. Am currently eyeing out the NF-F12.

To me, the nf-f12 wasn't anything special and the nfa-12x25 was much better. If you're just looking to add fans to and old cooler, go for arctic p12s. Amazing for $7 apiece, comparable performance to the 12x25s, but don't set them to spin at ~1k.

Everybody will suggest you the A12X25 cause it is the best 120mm fan out there. And I'd agree with that. The thing is: you want to swap both fans in your cooler and buying two A12X25 is going to cost you 50/60 bucks, that was not your plan, as I read you're short on cash right now. You were looking at the NF-F12. It's a good fan, no doubt, but tbh I wouldn't buy two of them for your cooler. It's well known they get noisy when they have something in front of them (in pull position to be more clear). Same issue with the cheaper NF-P12 Redux. My suggestion is to go with 2x Arctic P12 PWM . Their performance and noise are really good and the price is great. Day and night compared to your CM fans. PS: the Arctic P12s also come with an integrated Y cable. It means you can just use the CPU_FAN header of your motherboard for both fans, daisy chaining the second fan that pulls air to the first one on push position.

I love the idea of being able to email Noctua for new mounting hardware and having fans that will last forever, but seriously, on Amazon, I can get one Noctua NF-A12 for the same price as a five-pack of Arctic P12s and an NH-D15 G2 for almost five Thermalright phantom spirits.
I mean, really, there's no way they could possibly be worth it. That's 560 AUD for cooling rather than about 120. Can anyone speak to this?

They're absolutely not the best value. The performance you get per dollar is significantly less. But, the question of whether they're "worth it", is a personal one. Some people want the most cooling at the lowest noise. To them, it might be worth it.

I don't think it is. Their stuff is nice, but the prices are outrageous. I have a whole pile of Noctua fans and a couple of older coolers, I can't even remember the last time I used them. The performance is a little better, the noise is a little less, but unless you have a bottomless wallet I don't see the point.
