Jones New York has great plus sized suits. I used to shop at Dressbarn for them but it closed here. Shop online. Look at Macys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Sack’s, Dillard’s etc. More on reddit.com

It is very hard to find women’s suits that come in a variety of colors, are well fit and a bit fashion forward. Karen Millen (phot of those worn by Emily Blunt in Pain Hustlers) used to make suits like this but now they are drab and baggy. Who do you love?

Hey as I'm getting ready to take the bar and start my first job I need a suit. I'm a woman and also plus sized. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to buy a professional suit for me? I literally don't understand how to find one that fits/kind of at all. I just spent the morning at Nordstrom Rack. I got some nice blazers and button ups but no full suits in site.
Price range is like max a few hundred, I'm living off loans, so no hand tailored suits or anything

My daughter is about to graduate from college and needs some professional clothes. I'd like to buy her a nice suit for Christmas, but I'm a little at a loss.
Kohls is too "old" for her, and Banana Republic seems to only have "slouchy" style suits. I just want something classic that won't cost more than $400 combined suit jacket and pants.
Any recommendations?

I got my first suits out of law school from J Crew and they’ve held up pretty nicely, but my go to’s now are Ann Taylor and LOFT, for classic suit pieces as well as blouses/separates to go with the suit. Not what you asked for, but I also like the Old Navy Taylor suit line because it’s a great price point for things like “fun” blazers and printed pants - I don’t like to spend too much on trendy pieces that I only wear every once in a while. And, you probably already know this but please don’t try to surprise her - take her out shopping so she can try everything on! My mom got me a very nice suit as a gift - had my measurements and everything - but the jacket never fit right at all and I wasn’t able to find a tailor to work on it. I eventually donated it.
