What are the pros and cons of using the Notion wiki feature vs standard nested pages?
This is very old but bc I’ve been using wikis as the page to host the back up of all my databases and Pages. The top reason why I like the Notion wiki feature is because the wiki itself can act like a centralized database for all my other pages and databases pages, which it turns serve as the perfect navigation bar. And because of that if you want the illusion of the nested pages, you could create another database page add to the wiki and use that as the database that’s is acting as the “nested” pages. Then you can set up views that allow you see the pages. Hope this made sense.! More on reddit.com

I noticed this too and saw this documentation: https://www.notion.so/help/guides/build-a-docs-first-culture-with-a-beautiful-team-wiki-powered-by-a-database With the verification property, you can mark documents in the wiki with an expiration date. Once the verification expiry date arrives, you’ll receive a notification that it’s time to review the document. Then, you can make any changes or updates needed and renew the document’s verification. Alternatively, you can mark a document as infinitely verified so that it will never expire - you can always adjust this later if necessary. This property aside, I'm still kind of confused between this and regular database mode, though. More on reddit.com

Sorry I thought I could post text as well. It disappeared somehow. Wikipedia has recently changed their template to have headings to the left and when you click a hyperlink you get sent to that section of the article. I use notion for revision during Uni and would like a similar template to Wikipedia. Right now I use a toggle system where things drop down below the toggle. Is it possible to do the same thing in notion as on wikipedia where to the left you have your headings and the section of text appears to the right when selected? Thank you. Thank More on reddit.com

Hi,
I was wondering what are the advantages and downsides of using the wiki feature of Notion. I'm not sure if it will be better to use a standard homepage (like a portal with links to the nested pages) for my Teamspace or if I will benefit from the wiki feature (as I saw that a database is automatically created for all pages within the wiki with a set of default properties. New ones can be added). I'm asking more in the context of a company with multiple teamspaces (Marketing, IT, legal, etc.).
