Nuna Exec vs Cybex Calisto G 360
Edit- Cybex is doing a strap recall of some of their other car seats. The Calisto is NOT included but wanted to mention it. I'm keeping my Calisto, but something to watch for sure! I just went down this rabbit hole and probably spent 3 months trying to figure out what car seat to buy. I wanted to add my comment to this thread because we bought a Nuna Rava, tried the Nuna Revv on vacation and then settled on the Calisto over the Exec due to the rotating and sunshade. Opinions: I saw an Exec in person and it looked amazing. I can't say anything but that. I was heart set on it. It looked like a first class car seat- large and plush. I was all for it, then The Nuna Rava went on sale on PB. We liked it, but I started developing wrist issues again (had De Quervain's develop during late pregnancy that lingered through two cortisol shots postpartum) and I found myself really killing my arms and back lifting my 24lb baby into it. We went to Colorado on vacation and borrowed my in-law's Nuna Revv. We LOVED the turning feature. It something you don't think you need until you try it and then you never want to go back. It was a game changer for both my husband and I. The two things that bothered me on the Revv were that the straps were pretty short- it only goes to 40lbs which is a really low weight- and the straps only pull out so far and at 24lbs she was already seeming tight in it. I had to really pull the strap, yank it, then still bend her arm to get her in. I also thought the install wasn't as tight as it could be. I hemmed and hawed again for weeks and went down the rabbit hole of sites like consumer reports, safe in the seat, etc., and I just couldn't find enough data to sway me one way or another. CR seems to do their own testing, but then they were recommending seats that had recalls and were facing investigations. They didn't even rate the Exec. They also highly rated seats that were blasted by users on other platforms. I finally pulled the trigger on the Cybex Callisto G. The car seat arrived and install was super easy. We put it in my husband's truck as I had a 4+ hour road trip to my parents coming up the following week and I would take his beast of a vehicle. I am obsessed with this car seat. I may even list my Nuna Rava on facebook and grab another Callisto. The turning factor is one handed, goes in both directions, and is super smooth. The fabric is nice- I'm not crazy about the perforations it has (I just see that as another location to trap snacks, vomit, etc.), it looks almost like an athletic mesh? But it seems very breathable. The baby hasn't had a sweaty back yet like she has in her Rava, and it is fully machine washable, which is great. I love the position of the cup holders. On the Rava my 15 month old can't reach them yet, which is a pain in the tush, on the Cybex she can and they remove easily to wash. The two reasons I can't live without this car seat: the sun shade and the length of the straps. Because it's meant to work until the child is in booster height/weight the straps can pull out super far and I am in love. No more having to yank so hard on that center pull strap and then bend my baby's arm into a tight shoulder. These pull out so far they could reach the driver's seat and I am so happy. It makes getting her into it a breeze. Add to that the sun shade, which already saved us on the drive south. I don't know why more manufacturers don't do the sunshades in the convertible seats- it's an amazing feature. I was able to pull it down for her nap post lunch break and it was amazing. I realized how much I missed that in the Rava. I have not tried the app with the Cybex safe seat options. I will probably look into that at some point, just because it can't hurt to have another safety feature in place, but right now it's not necessary. Now that we're trying for baby #2 I realized how crucial that rotating will be as my belly (hopefully) grows. I hope this helps someone! More on reddit.com
Car seat for long and lean kids
49” is the standard height limit for car seats. Would you be willing to consider a booster? The Nuna Exec goes up to 49” for the car seat configuration but up to 57” with the booster configuration. More on reddit.com
Nuna just released a new Pipa, anyone knows when Revv or Exec will be refreshed?
No idea on the new exec or revv although I’m interested! I’d just go right for the nuna rava. It can be used from birth through I think 55 lbs. the exec is for older ones, and I didn’t like the revv wait limit or find rotation necessary. We used a nuna rava from birth for each car for our first. Baby loved it and was so comfortable in it, compared to the cheaper infant seats we bought when we traveled to grandparents. We do plan to get the pipa for the second for ease of transporting two in cold weather, but the rava was perfect from the start for one. More on reddit.com
Nuna Revv vs Exec?
I have a Revv and love it! It is large though, and I honestly didn’t think it was going to fit in my Dodge Durango at first, but we made it work. We’ve had it a little over a month, and I absolutely love it so far! The swivel feature makes it so much easier to get baby in and out, and it’s comfy for her too. She sleeps so well in it compared to her infant car seat. More on reddit.com

November 16, 2022 - The Nuna EXEC has a pretty unique claim to fame — it’s one of the most expensive car seats on the market today. 2026 Nuna EXEC Review: The King of Kid Carseat Comfort? – CarseatBlog
1 week ago - I have zero intention of using any other seat for a while, because honestly, the EXEC is great. Nuna took the Rava, which continues to be an outstanding seat, and then added a bit and subtracted a bit to make the EXEC a better version of an already great seat, with some booster function as well.

October 19, 2025 - Hi Bek, thank you for your inquiry, while the Exec is slim, I would suggest a fitting done at your local store for this as we would not be able to confirm. I hope this helps. ... Hi Amy, the Nuna EXEC is a US standard seat. However, it has been independently tested and certified (i.e., has the "S mark" and is AS/NZS 1754 compliant) for New Zealand safety standards.
