r/Amd on Reddit: New OCCT benchmark and it's AWESOME
June 18, 2021 - Differend loads on the CPU. Also, while running Cinebench you also run smth like HWinfo to check the frequency, and just by having it run it interferes in your frequency reading and score. OCCT does that too, but way less.

overclocking cpu
October 28, 2015 - So basicly, once i get a custom cooler, i could set the voltage to 1.25, overclock to 4.5 and run OCCT for several hours. If it doesn't crash, and stays below an acceptable temp, it is good? And if it crashes, i need more voltage. This is usually the case, yes. Personally, I think I'm more conservative in this, but usually I start out lower and take baby-steps upwards on finding out at what frequency is what voltage stable?

February 28, 2022 - My response (copy pasted from reddit): Linus here. First and foremost, I'm sorry for any upset we caused by using OCCT without paying for a professional license. I've gone ahead and picked up a pro license to cover our use. https://imgur.com/HlDn2Ic The truth is I had no idea OCCT was a paid software.

Once you find get to the point where you think you believe you have attained the max overclock on reasonable voltage, then I would run Realbench or OCCT for a couple of hours to confirm stability with more confidence for daily use.

Should I upgrade my water cooler CPU fan OCCT test when errors temps up to 85-90°C and it crashes every time? - Quora
Answer (1 of 4): Maybe. Are you overclocking? While your temps are quite high when you stress test, they’re not reaching a point where many CPUs will throttle. Of course this will vary from CPU to CPU, but still your problem might be that your just being too aggressive with your OC.
