October 28, 2015 - So basicly, once i get a custom cooler, i could set the voltage to 1.25, overclock to 4.5 and run OCCT for several hours. If it doesn't crash, and stays below an acceptable temp, it is good? And if it crashes, i need more voltage. This is usually the case, yes. October 9, 2010 - I'm using OCCT. It's got everything u need for Overclocks. the OCCT Cpu test is good, and it also got LinX, the GPU test is GREAT! and I also like the fact it's got the additional Memtest+PSU tests, makes it even more useful.

June 3, 2020 - It has the advantage of being a short, quick test that can help you get to an approximate max overclock without spending a lot of time. Once you find get to the point where you think you believe you have attained the max overclock on reasonable voltage, then I would run Realbench or OCCT for a couple of hours to confirm stability with more confidence for daily use.

Answer (1 of 4): Maybe. Are you overclocking? While your temps are quite high when you stress test, they’re not reaching a point where many CPUs will throttle. Of course this will vary from CPU to CPU, but still your problem might be that your just being too aggressive with your OC.

June 30, 2017 - I have heard here on Toms that some versions of Prime95 can be dangerous, but can't offer specifics or speak from personal experience. ... i have my i7 4770K overclocked to 4.4GHz @ 1.27v. its stable through intelburntest, AIDA64, sony vegas video rendering, and some of my games. however its not stable in Prime95, OCCT, and ASUS Realbench.
