If you can’t make any headway there, you can go to your local store with your order number and see if the GM can intercede for you - sometimes they can get the problem in front of the right pair of eyes to get it fixed. No difference. Before the merger, Office Depot in my area at least was downsizing the size of the stores while OfficeMax was continuing to operate large size stores. Post-merger, what I've noticed in my area is if OfficeMax retained their store and location, they kept the OfficeMax name and largely left the store as is with the exception of swapping OfficeMax branded products to Office Depot. Any new stores that have opened up or OfficeMax stores that relocated even within the same shopping center are now Office Depot. It costs a lot of money just to renovate an OfficeMax store interior/exterior into an Office Depot. Leaving it alone saves them money. More on reddit.com
