The lapel on the olive one is also neither here nor there. The grey suit has some terrible design choices, including the piping and the too narrow lapel. Are you new to buying suits? If so, go easy on yourself. Buy a navy blue two piece, barchetta chest pocket, patch pockets, unconstructed shoulders, don’t go for contrasting buttons or lining. Keep it simple, keep it versatile. The last two looks are great, green pairs well with neutrals and earth tones. I personally don’t like that blue shirt in the first pic at all, though. Blue plus dark green is too saturated, it takes it into kids cartoon territory for me. I would stick with white shirt and khakis, but opt for ties and pocket squares of gold or orange or red for contrast. Not bright Christmas red, but brick red or wine red. Brown leather accessories. Thinking on it, plaid shirts almost always have a few threads of green as part of the pattern. You might pairing it with any plaids you have to see if they go together. More on reddit.com

Hello All,
I am attending a wedding next month (early) and decided to buy a suit as renting does not seem worth it (will have use a few months after also). I have found an Olive suit that I like very much (see pictures) and I am thinking of getting this one.
The salesman informed me that they are the best sellers and a good choice for weddings as it is something different. As he said, "You will see all navy & grey suits, and about 3 olive ones". NOTE: Yes he is a salesman and is trying to sell. However, easily could have been honest given my sizes were available in grey and navy and also the same price. He is getting the sale either way.
The real reason for this post is I am a plus one for my girlfriend's cousin's wedding. I have never met any of her family and on this day, it will all be at once and somewhat overwhelming. I am aware this day is ALL about the bride and groom but I believe I am correct in saying some attention may be on me as I am the "new guy". (obviously only from her immediate family)
Would any of you lean towards a more "blend in with the crowd" suit given the circumstances or would you go for the one you like the most though it may stand out.? Also......in general, is Olive bad for a wedding?

+1 to getting a Navy suit. An olive suit can be awesome in the right context but that's the kind of suit you can pull out for specific events/occasions/times of year. Navy suit on the other hand is timeless, dependable, and versatile. The "every guy has a Navy suit" thing isn't a bad thing at all; it's the norm for a reason.
