I'm doing some coding work for a company that uses a PayPal business account, and I need access to it to test out webhooks and such. It feels like we've tried everything to add me to the account and nothing seems to work.
I already have a personal PayPal account, so we tried adding that one. I got the email, clicked its link, and entered a new password. This seemed to have no effect: I could still log in with my previous password, and my account showed no sign of the new access. My new password wasn't valid for anything. Why would it ask me for a new password anyway?
We then tried adding another email address of mine that didn't have an account. Bizarrely, after completing the process, I was redirected back to my personal account. Logging in with my new email/password didn't work.
Reasoning that I might need a business account for this purpose (even though there is no explicit mention of this anywhere in the documentation), I signed up for a new one of those, then we added that. Same effect: account shows no sign of access, new password isn't valid for anything.
All three of the additions show as Active on the Users page, but I can't find any avenue to access anything pertaining to this business account.
I can't believe how difficult this is. What on Earth are we missing? Thanks.
