Why are Plantronics headsets so commonplace in IT offices/departments and even regular ones?

I have a BT700 wireless headset. My employer banned wireless headsets. can I go undetected?
Why would they ban wireless headsets?

Wow what an earphone, im one of those that has been reluctant all these years to fully make the switch from corded earphones to wireless. Doesnt mean i havent had my fair share of wireless phones, some of them including the Bose Soundsport free, New Galaxy Buds, Beats Pro listed from best sound to worst. I have also listened to Airpods (good) and Airpods pro (not so good) extensively as my coworker owns both and has lent them to me.
My background is not the most extensive in the high end spectrum of the headphone world, but i did start this hobbie when the se530 and westone 3 was the most expensive money could buy ( dont get me started on how ridiculous the market has gotten). I got started with the Klipsch s4 and Etymotic Hf3, both very popular at the time and both of them still very competent earphones today. I loved the hobbie from that day. I evolved into liking earphones better as opposed to iems due to spacial awareness but thats another topic.
So, to the Plantronics. There is two models, the 3150 and 3200, the difference here is that the latter is an earbud style, and the former is in-ear bud style. I like that they give you the option of allowing ambient noise in or not. it comes in a very sporty package and a colorway that is not very fitting to my liking, all thus alluding to no good sound in my experience (blueant), that and a failed attempt with their introductory model the 3100 doesnt really seem like the way to go, but you would be missing out on what i think is the best earphone i have tried. It has rubber hooks, the housing is neither overly big or small, just right for the claimed 8 hours of runtime (plus an extra 16 in the case). Regardless of the look the comfort is really second to none, you forget you have them on. It housings you get a massive 13.5mm dynamic driver that just produces quality audio, you would forget you are listening to wireless fitness earphones. I am using the bright eq setting on the app which produces a neutral sound signature with good clean thumping bass. The highlight of these is the imaging and instrument separation, huge soundstage. on the Normal eq it becomes more intimate and vocals take 3 steps forwards and bass goes up a notch.
TLDR Awesome soundtage and bass on the bright setting (not really bright). Super comfortable that you forget they are in your ear. Two versions 3150 (earbuds) 3200 (in ear bud)

My boss is having us migrate to using Plantronics headsets that are Bluetooth and have a dock they charge on. And I hate this. I like using my own setup and don’t want to not be able to finish a call because my battery died.
Yet I see these all over my office and other offices I go to that the employees there use.
