I work in a call center, after some of my customers complained about hearing my coworkers speak to their customers, I decided to buy my own headset rather than use the cheap one my employer provided.
Based on the advertised performance, it seemed the Voyager focus 2 would work.
I wanted it to help me focus on my customer and not hear my coworkers via ANC. I have it set to 2, but I still hear them. The performance doesn’t seem much better than the passive noise canceling that analog over the ear headphones would provide. My air pods have significantly better noise canceling capabilities.
My customers shouldn’t hear my coworkers conversations so easily, I expected these headphones to be better at ignoring distant voices in favor of mine. My office isn’t overly noisy, and I expected them to still register some of the noise in my office, but it seems to be doing nothing at all.
I am just disappointed, it is advertised to do exactly this. I am in the process of making an account to get some customer service for this device.
Claims from the website for the Voyager focus 2:
“We couldn't build a wall around you to block out background noise, so we did the next best thing: created a "focus zone" with the new Voyager Focus 2 headset. All you hear is your call with three levels of hybrid active noise canceling (ANC). All they hear is you with our pro-grade microphones using Poly Acoustic Fence technology. “
“Poly Acoustic Fence technology: Advanced multi-microphone noise canceling so callers hear you and not your surroundings”
