Bose QuietComfort 15 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Review - Reviewed
October 2, 2014 - The QC15s are a durable set of headphones. They don't seem plasticky at all, and their band has a metal core. Further, they have a removeable cord, allowing you to replace the most fragile part of the setup pretty easily. The cups are also removeable, should they tear.

Review: Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Canceling Headphone | Sound & Vision
September 18, 2013 - In our experience, reviewing many of these models, you can do this cheaply, or good, but not likely both at the same time. Which brings us to the QC15s. They’re good. Really good. Stupefyingly good. Compared to the other noise canceling models we’ve tested, they are significantly better than all of them. The Bose engineers, over many generations of product, have seriously nailed the noise canceling.

There's absolutely as much brilliance ... the QC15s are a composed and enjoyable listen. Detailed, punchy and spacious, the Bose have the low-frequency determination to cope with Squarepusher's Come On My Selector and the insight to deliver the subtleties of Lambchop's National Talk Like a Pirate Day intact. Review: Bose QuietComfort 15 Headphones | WIRED
December 1, 2012 - As opposed to many products on the consumer electronics market, requiring you to purchase hundreds of side accessories to simply make use of the main device, the QC15 comes with its own and rather fancy protective box. The box contains two sets of jack cables, including one with volume control and a stereo double jack adapter for use in an airplane. ... So while I am not a music addict, I still had to put them through the music test — these are Bose headphones after all.

October 12, 2023 -

I have been blown away how long these headphones have lasted. They were purchased some time in 2010 and have been worn 8 hours a day 5 times a week since then. I’ve had to replace the ear cushions 3 times and the cord once. They just take AAA batteries (I got rechargeables) so no BS battery packs that you can’t service. They aren’t wireless but because of that they are super light weight. On the used market they go for ~$40 now a days and are totally worth it if your in the market.

Bose Quiet Comfort 15
While they're no bargain, the Bose QuietComfort 15s currently offer the best sound and silencing capabilities in a pair of noise-canceling headphones. In designing its fourth-generation consumer noise-canceling headphones, the QuietComfort 15s, Bose has done something interesting. Bose QuietComfort 15 Review
The Bose QuietComfort 15 are some of the most popular noise cancelling headphones in the world. Bose is the best-known name in noise cancelling headphones, bar none. Step onto a train anywhere in Greater London on a weekday morning and you’re like to see a pair of them, probably aboard the bonce of a suited gentleman. But do the QuietComfort 15 deserve their popularity, and are they really worth almost £250? In audio snob circles, brands like Bose rarely get much of a break. Spending a fair old whack on marketing and the technology that goes into their class-leading noise cancellation tech,

Review: Bose QuietComfort 15 (QC15) Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones | iLounge
May 15, 2021 - What about alongside competitive options, most importantly Audio-Technica’s excellent ATH-ANC7b, which has an $80 lower MSRP, and actually sells for $100-$150 less than the QuietComfort 15s given that Bose’s equipment is almost never sold at a discount? Sonically, the ATH-ANC7b has a decided advantage in audio performance for the dollar. If both pairs of headphones were $300, they’d be neck-and-neck rivals, as the QuietComfort 15s have more and clearer treble, plus a little more bass, while the ATH-ANC7b are a hint cleaner in the mids and lows, but a little less extended in the bass department. It would be hard to prefer the QC15s by much if at all if the prices were identical, however, at an $80 to $150 difference, there’s no question that the Audio-Technicas deliver far more bang for the buck.

In this regard, the QC15 can't be beat. That it also offers high quality, if not astounding, audio performance is a bonus. And let's not forget one other important factor for travelers seeking refuge from noise on long trips: True to its name, the Bose QuietComfort 15 is incredibly comfortable. <p>Bose invented the noise-canceling headphone, so the company must not have liked seeing companies like Creative and Sennheiser waltz right in and beat them at their own game. With the QuietComfort 15, however, Bose takes back the category it created. At $299.95 (direct), the QC 15 replaces the Qui

August 12, 2017 - Since 2013 I’ve been using the Bose QC15 headphones. Personally I think they sound really good but … that’s because I haven’t listened to any other headphones apart from those. I’ve read some articles where they explain why they aren’t actually that good sound wise (though the noise cancellation is very good). Basically they don’t sound great at all according to the reviewers.

r/bose on Reddit: QC15 vs QC45 - Have Bose headsets gone bad?
August 24, 2021 -

Hi Everyone,

So I jumped the gun on BlackFriday to replace my old trusty QC15s which have been with me almost a decade. I thought getting rid of the audio cable and getting a bit of a technology refresh as well would be nice.

Having followed the products being released over time the QC25, QC35s and now last QC45 I had the impression that each generation was a bit better than the last. Atleast that's the impression I got from reading reviews.

I have mainly used the QC15s at the desk when working on the computer while listening to music or taking zoom/teams/skype/hangouts calls and of course while traveling.

When I now have received my QC45s I am almost at a loss for words. Yes the ANC is better, but the sound quality is so bad compared to my QC15s I am almost speechless. Especially when playing music. It sounds so flat and hollow. And from what I read there's little room to fix this as well. The 700s are now the premium headphones if I have understood everything correctly and does have EQ- and boy are they ugly. Even though the bluetooth delay is not so bad, I am amazed they didn't even include a 3.5mm cable in the box.

If this is the "best" bose has to offer from the QC series I must say they have regressed massively.

Am I alone in thinking this? Is there something i'm doing wrong here? Perhaps some setting somewhere? and I have the correct bluetooth settings on my computer.

Just massively disappointed in this - the ANC is better than before but the sound quality is far below QC15 released in 2009!

September 23, 2009 - This model takes one AAA battery which lasts 35 hours, give or take. It has a removable cable and is large enough to cover the average pair of ears. Compared to the QC2 the QC15 noise canceling is strikingly more effective.
