Watch out for the firmware on your glorious numpad. It has a severe memory leak they have refused to fix for many months. It will exhaust all available ram in your system and crash everything else using it. More on reddit.com

I'm considering swapping my Corsair keyboard with a Razer one after almost a full year of daily freezes and wanted to check with the community before I get trapped again.

I was considering getting either the Black Widow V4 or the Pro version. For those of you with the keyboard, is it hassle free? Does it ever crash on you?

I've never had a Razer product before so I have no experience with the software. Corsair's iCUE allows me to save macros and lighting profiles to my devices and then I can completely close or uninstall iCUE and still use the settings I previously saved. Does Razer's software allow me to do this as well? I'd like to keep the number of RGB programs I'm running to a minimum and if the keyboard can control its own lighting and macros without actively running the software that would be amazing.

Anything else I should know before dropping ~$200 on this keyboard?
