Hello, I was considering to buy some Razer PBT keycaps for my Razer Blackwidow for just aesthetic looks and I've been trying to wonder if anyone here has bought them and if they have been fine with them, I've been wanting to add a little flair to my keyboard and setup so that's pretty much the main reason why
Thank you for answering/reading my question
I've got a Keychron Q1 v2 (UK-ISO layout) on the way from China, so I've been window shopping for keycaps in the meantime. I'd like plain black doubleshot PBT in UK-ISO layout, and ideally with shine through - not easy to find! I did come across these though : Razer keycaps on Amazon
They fit the bill and are a sensible price too, although it says they are an upgrade for Razer's own keyboards. Anyone know if they are a standard size and would fit other boards too?

Just wanted to let you guys know, I have had the Blackwidow Lite Stormtrooper edition for about a year. Recently I paired it up with a set of white Razer PBT Keycaps. White caps on the white board look really good, and the shape of the caps compared with the stock caps, really make the keyboard look about twice as good as before, but more importantly....
The feel is really a lot better too! It's hard to know just how much it would improve if you have never felt the difference before, but it's a greater improvement than I expected.
Surprisingly the board is even louder now with these new caps (it was always loud, despite it being advertised as 'silent') , but the sound is thockier, so that's a plus too.
For the price they sell at, to essentially have a set of caps for life, this is an upgrade you don't need to doubt!
Now that Wooting has released white keycaps I was considering switching from my G.Skill Crystal Crown keycaps to those. However, the shipping adds a lot to the cost and they would be over $80 CAD for me which is about 1/3rd the cost of the entire keyboard for me, which seems like a lot just to switch out the keycap colur. I had some gift cards for Amazon so decided to try the closest thing I could find which is the Razer PBT keycaps and see if it was worth switching to PBT in general before decided if I would get the wooting caps.
The Razer keycaps are sorely disappointing. The legend is fuzzy, not crisp at all and there is bleed through at higher brightness. Going to try them out for gaming for a few days and if I prefer PBT I'll return these and get the Wooting caps.
Thought I would let people know in case they're considering the Razer's1,2,3 & Q,W,E = RazerA,S,D = stock WootingZ,X,C = G.Skill Crystal Crown
tldr: does the razer shine through pbt keycaps set come with a r1 1.75u shift key
so i was looking at the razer pbt keycaps, the ones that are $29.99 on amazon (link below) and I was wondering if contained the smaller R1 1.75u shift key that is for keyboards that have the arrow key cluster pushed into the keyboard on the right side like on 65% and 75% keyboards. I have a 65% right now but im thinking of getting a 75% soon and I wanted shine through keycaps and these were the only doubleshot pbt black shine through oem profile keycaps i could find. i was looking through reviews and images and videos but i couldnt find out for sure because everyone puts them on a razer keyboard for testing, which makes sense obviously, but i want to know about the small shift key.

Hi everyone, i would like to upgrade the keycaps on my Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2 (60%), with a PBT version, is there any cheaper and compatible product? The Razer kit will cost 50eur in my country, and the entire keyboard is 99...
I ordered the first set of Razer PBT keycaps on amazon for my Razer Chroma V1, installed it, had some trouble with the spacebar sounding weird, so I took it off to put some lube on it, after using it for 10 minutes, the part where the little insert for the stabilizers are suppose to go into cracked, and the spacebar slipped off because it was detached from the stabilizer.
So I took off the first set, returned it, and got a replacement set for it. Guess what? The second set had the same problem with the spacebar, the part where the inserts are suppose to go into cracked again. Worse part is, I had installed all the keys before I tried putting on the spacebar, so I had to take off ALL THE KEYS AGAIN to return it.
I thought the third time was the charm, so I ordered another set, after installing everything with no problem, I was still not satisfied with the sound of the spacebar, so I took it off to try to lube it again. IT CRACKED AGAIN. I spend 12 hours just taking off and putting on the keys for the last few days, and this is the worse experience I've ever had!!
Anyone had the same problem before? The old ABS spacebar had a satisfying click to it, but the new PBT spacebar has this annoying tinny sound, and the PBT spacebar had trouble bouncing back after pressing down on it despite the lube I put on it. I use the dielectric grease by Permatex that I bought from Canadian tire, I bought this because some posts on the forum say that this dielectric grease works as stabilizer lube.
TLDR: I ordered 3 sets of Razer's PBT keycaps, and the part where the little insert is suppose to go in on the spacebar cracked on all 3 sets of them.
I am so DONE with Razer's PBT keycaps. Extremely poor quality. All the Amazon 5 star reviews about it being "high quality", "very sturdy", seems like BS as I have the exact opposite experience.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

What are some other keycap sets that are higher quality that can fit the Razer's non-standard bottom row? I would prefer something other than ABS because it tends to oil up. I don't even need a full set, I just need the spacebar because that is the only key from the PBT that is broken. It's EXTREMELY disappointing because you'd normally expect a set of keycaps to all be working in good order.
Please help me :C, thank you very much! I just want to extend the lifespan of my Razer Chroma, and it has led to the worse shopping experience, and a huge amount of time wasted.
The purpose of this post is not to crap on Razer's stuff, but to see if anyone else is having the same issue, and find a way to get a spacebar that fits the Razer Chroma.
I'm looking to invest in a huntsman keyboard, and was looking at the optional stuff. The PBT and phantom keycaps both look good, but I'm not sure which is better for me. I mostly do gaming, and sometimes some other stuff like work.
Hey, as a Blackwidow TE user, you find out that most of the special character keys have the second symbol non illuminated. Is getting the PBT keycaps just for that worth it, and how is the texture on them thanks.
I just got the Razer Huntsman Elite and my older Das Keyboard had PBT keycaps (I think, they never got shiny smooth over time) so I wanted to get some for this keyboard. I know that this doesn't have a standard bottom row so I'm forced to just the official Razer PBT keycaps. I bought the black ones because I also heard that those don't bleed light like the other colors.
I got it in the mail a few minutes ago and tried replacing the esc key (didn't bother with the rest) and part of the "e" in esc is slightly darker. It's as if it's not cut out that clearly from the inside where the light shines through. The default keycaps are clearly cut out there are no issues with how the light displays under them. Is this something one should expect with PBT keycaps or just the Razer PBT keycaps? Or do I just have a faulty one and have to keep returning them until I get one that does display the light and letters clearly?
I'm not sure I like the pudding style which so many adore, so let's just compare them quality-wise. Thickness, font, how they feel etc. Does anyone have experience with both?
