I would go with the EQ card since it has no FX fee and will reimburse you the ATM fee if you withdraw from a Canadian ATM. I don’t carry around my debit card anymore because of it. More on reddit.com

I'm pretty sure you can't transfer funds back to a bank account from the VISA card. There's definitely nothing the post office can do to help you, so don't bother asking them about this situation. I hate these VISA cards, they're such a rip-off with all the fees they charge you. You can get basically the same thing 100% free from KOHO - no fees whatsoever, can eTransfer funds back and forth at your leisure, even has cash back opportunities. I would definitely look into it if you haven't heard of it before - PM me if you're interested; if you use my referral code we both get a free $20! More on reddit.com

Prepaid credit cards are a rip off. I looked up Canada post’s, and it too is a rip off. “1-time setup fee” of $15. “Monthly service fee” of $3/mo. “Reloading Fee” of $3.
