Refunds are automated. The only way your ‘niece’ could buy the app was with your passcode or password. Apple isn’t a parent and isn’t responsible for purchases made on your device. You can request one more time, but there’s no expectation of a refund Answer from hawk_ky on reddit.com

r/applehelp on Reddit: Accidental app purchase doesn’t meet conditions for a refund
1 month ago -

I went to look at my payment history and I paid $114.78 CAD on September 11th somehow for a YouCam Perfect AI photo editor app. I don’t even know how this happened. I requested a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com on October 28th, explaining how my niece was on my phone and downloaded this app and used it for only like 5 minutes before I then deleted it and never used it again. Their reply was “We reviewed your claim and your purchase doesn’t meet conditions for a refund. This decision is final.” Not sure how this can be. Should I phone apple and ask to speak to someone higher up for a refund? What is the best way to go about this? Thank you
