I went to look at my payment history and I paid $114.78 CAD on September 11th somehow for a YouCam Perfect AI photo editor app. I don’t even know how this happened. I requested a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com on October 28th, explaining how my niece was on my phone and downloaded this app and used it for only like 5 minutes before I then deleted it and never used it again. Their reply was “We reviewed your claim and your purchase doesn’t meet conditions for a refund. This decision is final.” Not sure how this can be. Should I phone apple and ask to speak to someone higher up for a refund? What is the best way to go about this? Thank you

If you don’t require your Apple Account password for each transaction and don’t use Guided Access, lock apps behind Touch ID/Face ID and then just hand your phone off to a younger relative, this isn’t considered an accidental purchase. If anything you should be getting money back from her parents, not using the refund system.
