October 30, 2025 - Side Mission 27 - Restored from a Fossil! in Pokémon Legends: Z-A tasks you with purchasing a fossil for a researcher in the Pokémon Research Lab so they can restore it into a rare Pokémon. You can snag a very interesting Pokémon in this quest, but each fossil is unique to a specific Pokémon — you want to make sure you pick the one you want. For this Side Mission (and at any point after completing this Pokémon fossils with Reg, who can be found on the second floor of the Pokémon Research Lab.

After purchasing the desired fossil, head back to the Pokemon Research Center. Go to the Lab and hand the fossil over to the researcher. The researcher will restore the fossil, and give the resulting Tyrunt or Amaura over to the trainer.
