Hey everyone,
I recently bought the 2022 Macbook Air and noticed that the right click doesn't work reliably if you set it to "Click in Bottom-Right Corner". Imagine selecting a number of files for 5 minutes and then right-clicking on one, only to actually left-click and deselect everything. It's extremely frustrating!
I also like to play games on my laptop and right-click-dragging is super messed up. The right-click will register initially, but after anywhere between dragging for a splitsecond - 3 seconds, the input suddenly vanishes and you need to redo it. It might take you 10 attempts for it to work properly. I just don't understand what is wrong with it. I've used macbooks for 10 years and this has never been an issue. Seriously contemplating upgrading to a Macbook Pro due to this.
I can't believe I paid 2000€ for this machine and the trackpad doesn't work. Anybody got any experience with this issue?
Why is my MacBook right-click only working sometimes?
Can I use an external mouse on Mac to right-click?
Does resetting SMC delete any data on my Mac?
so i was just minding my business, and suddenly my right click just stopped working.. but my left click still works??? can someone tell me why or try and help me?
So hi. The right mouse button right-lower-part-trackpad-option menu action seems truly screwed now. If you select something with 'left' and then try to open the context menu with the bottom right bit immediately -without moving the mouse pointer-, it just does a left click again. External mouse does not do this, nor do I remember I ran into this issue the last 10 years of intel based macbook usage. Can't exactly delineate the issue, it happens in browsers, word, finder, or not. Tried a few trackpad/gesture settings, but no worky. There are no actual haptic or mousy failures at any time, so the pad itself seems fine. Can't tell. Enough other gripes, but this is the one right now.
