Looking for a mattress topper

Earlier this year, my husband and I bought a firm mattress to help with my husband's back pain. He's a light sleeper and requires more sleep than I do. The mattress took some getting used to, but now he sleeps pretty comfortably on it.
Well, I'm a side sleeper and this mattress unfortunately does not suite me. I bought a cheap mattress topper on Amazon that was essentially a blanket for my half of the bed and layered it with another comforter.
Since getting the mattress, I've had many week-long episodes where I was getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I'm not entirely blaming the mattress, but it's definitely a contributing factor.
Anywho, a month ago my husband suggested we get a topper for the whole bed and I jumped at the opportunity. After looking at reviews, I splurged and got the Saatva Graphite Memory Foam Topper. (The graphite helps keep everything cooler).
IT IS A DREAM. I sleep so well now and fall asleep so quickly. I feel like I'm sleeping in a luxury hotel. I love it so much, it makes me so happy. Definitely worth the price point for good quality sleep.
Anywho, if anyone is wondering about buying it: 5/5 gold stars, would recommend!
So, I find that 1” is not enough, 2” is tolerable but a bit too much, and 3” is definitely too much in a topper, for me.
Saatva makes a 1.5” high density foam topper I’m considering, but there are no other descriptive details about what kind of density foam it is exactly. Anybody here have experience on one? And how do you feel about it?
Also, I am not experienced with different foam densities, so maybe I would be open to 2 inches in a specific density. I recently returned a 2” Sleep On Latex soft topper after discovering I didn’t like the feeling of Dunlop latex. I’m currently using a 2” gel foam topper from target that’s just alright, but I wake up a bit achy for it being too soft. Maybe I need something more supportive and conforming?
Base is an extra firm innerspring. I’m a side / stomach sleeper that wants just the right amount of pressure relief in the shoulders.
