I decided to go back and watch Skins (UK) and I’ve heard them say this word 5 times in the first episode alone. They seem to use it as an interjection. They’ll just “safe” after random sentences. What does it mean
What does "safe" mean?
teen slang, just means "surely" most of the time.
"das wird safe ein cooler tag"
"that'll surely be a cool day"
but it's very colloquial and you probably don't want to use it unless you're like 13 or want to sound like you are. which you probably don't ;)

I live in Germany but I'm still learning to speak german. I have noticed that it's a thing local people especially teenagers which is "safe"... not sure if it's spelled that way, but it is what it sounds like. Teens say that a lot, usually after their peer told a joke or something (honestly I have no idea). But I have no idea how to properly use it or what the proper translation of "safe" in English is. Any native speakers here wanna help? It'd be very much appreciated :)

Interestingly, "safe" is a thing we say in the UK as a generic word for "good" when it comes to people; as in "you're safe mate" (potentially to signal someone's not at risk of pissing the speaker off). Possibly related?
Probably not.
