I still wear my aging Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 every day, and don't plan to give it up
March 12, 2025 - It's also commendable that the internals of the Watch 4 can handle the latest Wear OS build without issues. Swiping across the UI is smooth for the most part. There are a few lags, but nothing that renders the watch unusable. Launching apps takes a few seconds longer than it used to when the watch was new, but it's forgivable on a tiny wrist computer. If you use a smartwatch to track your workouts (isn't that what everyone uses it for?), the Samsung Health app on the Watch 4 has all the important workouts, and automatically detects when you begin a workout.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic review | Best Buy Blog
September 1, 2021 - It’s the one thing that makes a classic Galaxy Watch what it is, and Samsung and Google worked together to integrate it with Wear OS. The 1.4-inch AMOLED (450 x 450) gets a nice resolution bump. My review unit came with a rubberized band, rather than a leather one, as in previous models.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 review: The best budget smartwatch for Android users
July 13, 2023 - It looks and feels like Samsung's excellent Tizen OS, but Google's Wear OS means the Galaxy Watch4 is compatible with significantly more apps from Google's Play Store. The Galaxy Watch4 has an array of health and fitness tracking features you'd expect from a premium smartwatch, including workout tracking, heart rate monitoring, blood pressure measuring, an ECG feature, sleep tracking, blood oxygen measuring, and stress tracking. The Galaxy Watch 4 is always ready to record a workout session, which can cause some issues.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 review
With updated hardware and brand-new software built together with Google, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the best smartwatch Apple doesn't make. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 is a big deal, and not only for Samsung. It marks a reinvention of the company’s smartwatch line, but also the introduction of new software co-engineered with Google – making this also the debut of the overhauled Wear OS 3. The good news is that Samsung has mostly nailed the experience. From a hardware perspective the Galaxy Watch 4 is hard to fault, while the new software makes this basically the best smartwatch you can buy t

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Review
May 29, 2024 - I have been impressed with the Galaxy Watch 4. It’s packed with health features, some I used a lot others not so much but still all of them are nice to have on there. I think that the biggest thing for me with this watch is the design, I really like having a circular watch especially after wearing an Apple Watch for several years. One thing that I would like to point out is that to really get the most out of this watch it’s best to have it paired with a Samsung Phone.

r/GalaxyWatch on Reddit: My honest review of the galaxy watch 4
November 10, 2020 -

So I have owned the Galaxy watch 4 for approximately 3 weeks now and overall my experience has been very good. I watched all kinds of reviews before I got it and I feel slightly mislead (but in a good way). So things I will cover are build, battery, charging, features, and how easy it is to use.

Build: I do think this is a very well made watch. I love this design. I do have a minor issue which involves getting it scratched, but that's my own fault. I happen to ding my writs on things a lot so I bought a screen protector for it which essentially mostly solved my clumsiness. So if you are someone as clumsy as me, you could either get a screen protector and case for the watch, or go for the stainless steel of the classic.

Battery: I will say, I am impressed. I'm not someone who really has a use for always on displays for the watch since whenever I need the time I always move my hand to see the time anyway, so having it off has helped with the battery life. I have heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking on all the time as well. On average the watch can last me a full day pretty comfortably, and usually until about noon or so the next day. If you're very light on using the watch's, then you could get close to 2 full days. Workout tracking does give a hit to battery life, but fortunately in my case my workouts don't last hours so it's never enough to cause any real impact.

Charging: It takes me personally about an hour to go from almost zero to full battery, but I never really go all the way to full anyway. Usually around 85% does it for me. I do use a fast charging brick, so maybe that helped.

Features: I'm glad Samsung went with wearos since having so many apps to use has been an absolute joy. Although I do hope they eventually add Google assistant, since the best Bixby is able to do on the watch is start navigation, or maybe tell me the weather. Health tracking has been pretty accurate, but not exact. Expect a pretty small margin of error I'd say. It is good enough for a general benchmark though, so I'm satisfied. Being able to respond to all kinds of notifications from my watch is pretty nice. Helps me from feeling the need to pull out my phone.

Ease of use: I'd say personally I like the digital rotating bezel. I usually just go for screen touch anyway, but it's nice it works well (especially after the update).

Anyway, I hope this helps anyone that is considering it. My use case might not be exactly like yours, but personally I'm happy with the watch.
