I have a pair of Shokz OpenSwim and 100% recommend them. They’ve honestly made swimming so much more enjoyable.. the sound quality underwater is surprisingly good for bone conduction, and they stay put the whole time, even during flip turns. Super easy to use, waterproof as advertised, and the battery life has been great for me (I usually get a week of swims before needing to charge). Just make sure to load your music/podcasts ahead of time since they don’t bluetooth but for pool sessions, that’s no big deal. More on reddit.com

You can break up the mp3s into tracks but i imagine that’s pretty manual still unfortunately. are you using ear plugs with them? If i wear mine with the silicon ear plugs, it really helps them from a volume perspective. Assist from that i guess you could adjust one of your google stairs over them but that’s probably not super comfortable. More on reddit.com

I just got a pair today and went out for my first swim.
Love, love, LOVE that I can listen to books while I do laps, something I really missed from running.
That said, two things are suboptimal, and I'm looking for advice from anyone else using these headphones.
Getting audible books onto an mp3 player is a pain in the butt. The best solution I've found is to download from audible, convert to mp3 using this, then drag to Shokz. Downside is that it's one big file and no way to fast forward or rewind, and if I accidentally hit next, it starts all over. Anyone have a better workflow for this?
Sounds isn't amazing and it's a bit hard to hear the words, even at the highest volume. If I press the vibration pads against the sides of my face, it improves dramatically. Is there some way to keep them pressed to my face like that?

I have downloaded mp3s of audiobooks directly from my local library. As for the volume, I had these problems too so I resigned myself to just listening to music.

Work well in terms of sound quality in the water. Good battery life. I have the pro version, which is also Bluetooth equipped (note Bluetooth won’t work in water, I use the Bluetooth for running). As others have said, getting music onto them for pool use is a pain in the ass, so I just have a couple of albums that play on a loop and are rarely changed. All that said, I’d rather listen to music than my own thoughts when I’m doing laps in the pool. Definitely the best swimming audio option that I have come across.
