We're movingn into a new apartment and I'm venturing into a minimalist lifestyle at home, so the more space I can create and have functional items that can be stored away when not in use would be fantastic. I'm thinking about replacing my 4 seat dining table with a 4ft foldable table but am stupidly concerned with how it looks (not the prettiest sight). But I'm not really asking if I should.. but I guess I'm just excited about the change and wanted to know if any.of you out there have done the same.
I cook a ton at home but rarely have guest over to eat. Its always just my husband and I that eat at the dining table like once a month, other than that it collects random mail and other random things we seem to place on top of it.
The main reason why I never got rid of it is because my husband and his friend need a table for their DJ set to practice and this is weekly. Also, I like having the option of having a table to do anything crafty or for when we invite friends for game night.
Can anyone advise on extendable dining tables? I'm looking for something which can either attach to my wall or extend laterally from some kind of standing cabinet. I found some stuff from Chinese retailers but they look like a scam. Any cool ideas here? The space in the attached image is about 8x8' and the lowest shelf is about 4'5".
