I've been loving my Yukon so far. I have a covered patio and shed that I can move it to when not in use or when it rains, but obviously a lid or shelter would be better. What would people recommend, and are there good third party options? I'll get the name brand stuff if it really is a difference in quality, but $70 for a glorified tarp seems like a bit much, especially when I've seen reviews saying they aren't the best quality.

Buy a shelter on Amazon for like 25 bucks I bought the porch shield kind. Then you can spend the rest of the money on the lid next instead of having to choose.

I 1 hundred percent agree with you. I have the Yukon. I waited for a sale on the lid, one of those flash sales, and got it for like $150 I think. I hate the price of the shelter. But by the time you get a third-party brand, you have to ask yourself, is it best to just drop the extra money, and get one specifically designed for it

The one it came with is a carrying case. The one they sell is a cover. You put it in the one it came with and the other one goes over top of it. I don’t think the one it comes with is weatherproof.

May 8, 2022 - Once the fire is down to coals you can put the lid on, that way if there is a drizzle in the night you don't get all the ash remnants turned into gunk inside and keeps any embers from escaping.

I got an inexpensive cover off Amazon- brand was Duck Covers ultimate and it’s really heavy duty. A little baggy on my Yukon but there are velcro tension straps. Keeps it dry all winter. I throw an old traffic cone in the middle to prevent pooling.
